Just wondering if anyone out there has a new binding from Liquid Force? If so or if you know, with the new bindind platform (the thicker ones) what kind of mounting screws do you use to get a good hold? im sure it has to be a pretty long screw? anywhere you can buy some? Thanks

Anthony, the bindings come with the screws necessary for attachment, but yes, they do require longer screws than normal.

Mike Dick
See Dick Ride Wakeboards
www.seedickride.com
(701)682-5515
mike@seedickrid e.com

Anthony, they are 1/4-20 pitch X 7/8 long. I have the new EXOs. The screws that come with them are flat blade screwdriver driven, which I hate. I replaced mine with stainless 3/4" hex head bolts and stainless washers with the same diameter as the anodized washers they supply. The stainless washers are quite a bit thinner than the anodized washers that come with the bindings, so the overall thread engagement with the insert is almost identical. It can be easy to overtighten hex head bolts....so, be careful if you use these.

yeah you need to ditch the old ones and get longer ones, i nearly broke my ankle wen my bolt split the thread

Anthony,

Where did you buy your bindings? Which ones? Didn't they give you screws?
|
actually i didnt buy them yet, but i was planning on it. I asked because i wanted to see if i needed to order a longer set. So youre saying that the stock screws that come with the bindings are long enough? or they're not?
Lachlan- said he almost broke his ankle!? Thanks guys

Anthony,
The stock screws that come with the 04 bindings are plenty long enough. I only replaced mine because I dont like flat tip screwdriver machine screws...just personal preference.
