yeahhhhh boy those heel 9s are insane in the membrane.

norbiv 04-11-2010 11:20 AM

the first one he does looks like its straight off a double up :D nuts

benjaminp 04-11-2010 11:32 AM

Man Rathy is not a small boy. Some awesome riding, and the weather looks beautiful. Looking foreward to the Nicola vid.

andrew_moreton 04-11-2010 12:03 PM

Good riding behind the X-Star!

mofreestyle 04-11-2010 12:35 PM

Oh someone had to go there. haha I can't wait to see him behind an MB. hopefully Rathy will do a walk through video so I can see what MB is all about. Here in the midwest we don't see many MB's actually I have never seen one to be exact.

rivrat 04-11-2010 12:58 PM

That board was a trip conspiracy bottom with a monarch top. What shape was it

wakemitch 04-11-2010 1:03 PM

awesome video Norbi.

Rathy is killing it. The tour is going to be really interesting this year with all these progressive riders, but I still think Rathy will come out on top again.

captain_vilfo 04-11-2010 2:33 PM

I'm lovin what I see!

norbiv 04-11-2010 3:57 PM

thanks! nicola vid coming soon!

supernatural 04-11-2010 4:24 PM

Those 9's were stomped so clean. I dont see that to often wake to wake.

the owners of nautiques were thinking the same thing lol
basically, i don't think there will be many. You train for the tour on the boat the tour is going to be pulled on or for any contest for that matter. Won't be seeing to many hours on the MB

kyle_L 04-11-2010 5:32 PM

I am pretty amazed so far with our posters btw!! i know everyone is waiting... :D

Badass vid norbi! What's the name of the song? It's Chamillionaire right?

supernatural 04-11-2010 10:08 PM

song name is at the end of the vid. Chamillionaire "Lovin what you see"

woawake 04-11-2010 10:10 PM

Norbi- you always give us high caliber riders and high caliber videos... Keep it up man. You make procrastinating from school work easy! haha

mckenna 04-12-2010 4:11 AM

rathy vids are starting to look all the same.

bmr82 04-12-2010 4:25 AM

Vest? Lack thereof? Is this what you're referring to?

It's beginning to bum me out that one of my favorite riders seems to have little interest in setting a good example for his legions of young followers in this particular area. It's been said that he's had a couple of sponsor issues - trouble to get a hold of, responsiveness etc. I really don't want to see him go down that road. It's one thing to go out and fool around on a skate or surfboard without a vest, but bs 5's, 9's, and other difficult tricks as seen in that video - it just makes me nervous. I feel the same way when I see incredible snowboarders doing incredible things without a helmet. I guess I am just a nervous nellie.

behindtheboat 04-12-2010 7:06 AM

Could this vid have been shot right before the deal with Xcel was inked? Maybe he had his sponsor in mind to A) not leak it or B) not piss them off wearing a different brand while possibly in negotiations. No one knows, and I think if anything, sponsorship had somewhat of a role in not wearing one as much as it would him wearing something. Strictly my opinion though

andy_nintzel 04-12-2010 8:38 AM

I didnt think I would ever say this, but Rathy is even better than the last video you posted, WAY WAY Better, that Switch nine is on LOCL!

boomshot 04-12-2010 9:12 AM

Given that Norbert posts his videos, earliest, the next day after they're done rendering I'd say this is a very recent video. The Xcel deal was done months ago.

wakeviolater 04-12-2010 10:50 AM

to heck with those 9's! the off toe back 7 is the sickest!

liquidmx 04-12-2010 12:22 PM

What amazes me about those TS BS 7's are the body position. It looks like he is pitched over the nose just enough to take a serious fall...somehow he rights his body position on the last spin and pulls it out. I keep having visions of massive falls on that trick.

blowhole 04-12-2010 1:08 PM

he doesnt need a vest he never falls. that nicola video has been in the works for a while now

norbiv 04-12-2010 1:24 PM

it hasnt been in the works I just didnt actually have the time to sit down yet and pick a song and edit it.
but it'll come one of these days :]
We shot it at 7 am so I can promise some awesome looking shots with the sunrise and the fog on the lake and everything just came together.
its gonna be a pretty one.

waterdork88 04-12-2010 1:31 PM

"never falls" I understand he is ridiculously consistent... but the few times he does have a bad crash, he could die (and I mean the chances are a lot greater without a vest). Aaron can do what he wants, Its just dissappointing that someone with that much skill won't lead a better example.

Thank God Chad learned his lesson and is encouraging everyone to wear one everytime. :)

kyle_m 04-12-2010 1:49 PM

well at least the no vest bashing is starting to calm down, gotta love when the riding season comes back around people start popping out of there hating shells. great video norbi cant wait for more, if im ever asked that my grades are failing which i probably never will, since they arent, im blaming it on your videos hahahaha

captain_vilfo 04-12-2010 3:06 PM

There was a ts tb 7? I pretty much saw every other trick in the book except that one

jarrod 04-12-2010 3:11 PM

No TS BS 7. A perfect 5 though.

I love his Roll to blind. And the 9s are on lock fo show.

liquidmx 04-12-2010 4:30 PM

Whoops, I meant his HS BS 7 (wrapped) @ 2:30. haha

andy_nintzel 04-12-2010 4:31 PM

Just watched this again, vest no vest who the heck cares, Homie shreds!

That switch Heel 9 To Heel back back 7 was crazy!

Norbi, your videos are awesome!!!! Thanks for sharing so much cool stuff with us so often!

And Rathy's riding is jaw dropping sick. I give Rathy huge props for getting his name and riding out there so often. Nautique lost a great asset.

manda 04-13-2010 1:48 AM

That off axis toeside 7 at around 1:30 or so is crazy! Sweet vid Norbi! like always. What do you do for color correction in your PP part of editing, the blues and greens seem to really jump out. keep the vids comin, can't wait to see the Nicola one you're workin on.
