Just thought I'd say hi to all you people. Just registered on the site. I'm an 18 year old just trying to learn how to wakeboard. I know i'll prolly get flamed for this but I was a waterskier, but thought i'd move on to some more challenging stuff like wakeboarding. I just ordered a 2004 Obrien Science 143 wakeboard with Link bindings and was wondering what any of you guys thought about this board?

Thanks and I hope to learn some stuff on these boards

Welcome to WakeWorld Daniel. No worries on that skiing background. Many of us strayed in our younger years! I'm glad to see you found some direction!

Russell I suggest starting your own thread to ask your question, you will get a much bigger response that way.

I have the exact set up. I have only ridden like 5 times and thought the board was pretty nice. Seemed to handle well but i dont really know what to look for because i too am a rookie. Only complaint is the bindings. I have a size 12 shoe and a wide foot. I got the biggest size xl/xxl and my toes hang out over the end of the bindings and my toes would go numb in 10 min. of riding. Hope you dont have feet as big.

Thanks alot for the nice welcome guys! Yah my feet are a max of size 11 and i got the xl/xxl bindings as well...hope my toes won't come out of those. :/

haha, thats pretty funny how both of us are rookies and have the exact same kind of equipment

yeah it is. the bindings should be fine for you then.
