I think at one point someone had one that they posted on this site. Does anyone know where I can find it? I'd hate to make 30K mistake this afternoon.

Help me out...

Aaron, use your best judgement, 1st make sure it drives and runs. Have a boat mechanic check out the engine and running gear, electrical, gauges, check the hull for repairs, cracks, chips etc. Make sure it has ample storage for you and friends and family.Check out the vinyl for cracks, tears, stains etc. Ask questions like why he is selling it? Was it service? Where and when? If he gives you these details go to that shop and have them pull the records on what was done. Check out the wake, make sure it fits your needs. Also have your mechanic check out the trailer. Good luck. Let us all know what you bought .

Drive it. I wouldn't buy a used boat without driving it, listening to it, checking the fluids after driving it, etc.

Depending on how old it is and how many hours on it you may want to pull title history for it to see how many owners it has had-- this may give you an indication of whether folks just want to get rid of it after making a bad buying decision.

Oops. Didn't realize this was for the same day. hehe. Hope things went ok!

(Message edited by foobysmacker on June 15, 2004)

I wrote a really complete post about 3 years ago on this site. I think it eventually got lost though when Dave upgraded the discus engine.
