Nice Boat! I like the colors!

stepintoliquid 04-07-2006 7:26 AM

Hey Darin, thats a 2006 X2! Change your profile again! Tight boat, love the colors. We need pics of that boat wake weighted down, please post!

fox 04-07-2006 7:59 AM

Hotness...nice. My bud brings his home tomorrow. Yellow main, white rear, with black letters. I might be almost as excited as he is!!! Darn those breakin periods!!

wakeslife 04-07-2006 12:15 PM

2006 is THE year for Mastercrafts. Nice looking boat!

jeffrpod 04-07-2006 8:57 PM

Nice! Is this Pro Tour Red?

airwarrior04 04-07-2006 9:58 PM

Looks GOod

-Zach

tenaciousd 04-07-2006 10:27 PM

yes pro tour red. It looks much better than viper red to me.
ttuclint 04-07-2006 10:42 PM

did you pull your brand new boat up on the beach ?

tyler97217 04-07-2006 11:26 PM

jeffrpod 04-08-2006 6:07 AM

Could you post some interior Pics?

easyrider 04-08-2006 7:34 AM

...I'm Jealous...

stepintoliquid 04-08-2006 8:03 AM

Interior Pics:

jeffrpod 04-08-2006 8:03 AM

I'm so torn between Viper and Pro Tour. PT looks meaner and more serious, but Viper makes a loud statement.

jeffrpod 04-08-2006 8:13 AM

If you had it to do again, would you still choose PT Red as opposed to Viper? I'm also struggling with which interior accent to do in Red, the outside "Fangs" on the sun deck or the "H" shape. I like the look of the Red accent on the back of the spotter's seat.

Darin - could you post some pics of the X2 with the Red interior?

(Message edited by jeffrpod on April 08, 2006)

tenaciousd 04-08-2006 9:12 AM

Clint yes I did pull it onto the sand. Its a boat to be used. I take care of my stuff but I'm not worried about pulling it onto sand.

Jeff, I will post some interior pics tomorrow, I'm at work and don't have pics with me. I like the color of viper red as well but when you see the two colors side by side the viper red looks like faded red. My friend has an all viper red Xstar and you can see a big difference. You see alot more viper red mc that is also why I went with pro tour red.

skymasterp 04-08-2006 2:42 PM

Jeff here is a viper red pic if it helps. I was torn also. I havent had her on the water yet. I cant wait till it warms up.

I love the colored gelcoat on the inside of the X2s.

jeffrpod 04-08-2006 3:46 PM

Yo - Phillip, the Viper is HOT!!! Is your Interior Accent 2 Color Black?

Does anyone know if you make the inerior accent 1 color (the "H" accent color on the sundeck) silver, what color is the stiching for the "X" and "MasterCraft" logos?

skymasterp 04-08-2006 4:42 PM

Jeff, thanks man. My accent 2 is black. You can choose the color of the embroidery when you order. Mine is red.

badknees 04-08-2006 6:10 PM

Nice boat Darin, your last 2 was sweet too. See you on the river this summer!

jeffrpod 04-08-2006 8:22 PM

Philip - Can you choose the color of the "X Series" logo and the "Mastercraft" logo seperatly? My dealer hasn't told me about that, I only have the consumer "Build your MasterCraft" configurator to go by. thanks

fox 04-09-2006 3:33 PM

Just got off my friends new X2...put three and a half hours on it...5.5 to go! I have to say it really is impressive how well it handles and the wake is very nice right out of the box. It's bigger than what we've been used to, so adding weight will make it fantastic. Loads of room, tons of storage, comfortable to ride in and drive. It's a really good boat.

tenaciousd 04-09-2006 3:50 PM

here are some more pics of the X2

wakeslife 04-09-2006 4:19 PM

Darin-
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one (my pro pic) that has their tower speakers and lights mounted on the forward crossbar of the tower. Most have their tower gear mounted on the rear crossbar. I don't know why they are mounted there; It seems as if the rear tubing would block out some of the lighting from the rearward facing lights while surfing at night. Just my observation, haven't been of the water with her yet...

jeffrpod 04-09-2006 5:42 PM

Thanks Darin, that boat is the hottest thing I've ever seen!!! Are the interior accent colors PTR and Black?

Originally I ordered PTR, then changed it to Viper, but I like the PTR much better now that I've seen it. I've been told my Finish build date is 5/22. Does anyone know the final cut-off for making color changes? I'm guessing it takes them a week to put one together - so I've got about a month before they start...

mcx2ryd 04-09-2006 6:11 PM

Kinda sorta.. Talk to your salesman he can tell you when the deadline is!!

jeffrpod 04-09-2006 7:13 PM

The salesman told me it was too late to change the colors, but I can't believe that there's not time left with the finish date 6 weeks away. Does anyone know the cut-off date for certain?

tenaciousd 04-09-2006 9:43 PM

Thanks Jeffrpod, I'm real happy with the way it turned out too! It is not to flashy but nice and clean looking.

mitchj 04-09-2006 9:50 PM

Call Master Craft direct if you dont like what you are hearing I found them to be more than helpfull on more than one grey area.

sherminator 04-09-2006 11:09 PM

hey darrin, what is the little LCD screen on the right side of your dash for?

lionel 04-09-2006 11:39 PM

sherm, that's his harmon kardon ipod plug & play. The round thing to the right of the throttle is the controller.

(Message edited by lionel on April 09, 2006)

jeffrpod 04-10-2006 1:16 PM

Darin - Could you post some pics of the front and rear bench seats? I'd like to see the interior accent colors. Thanks!

jdrcrew8 04-10-2006 1:21 PM

Sweet Looking boat! That picture from the sundeck makes it look like you have a Mastercraft logo on your tailgate perfectly centered where the Ford logo should go. I had to look a couple of times. Nice set up.

tenaciousd 04-10-2006 1:49 PM

Jeff you will have to wait a few days till we get her back out of the garage.

And yes that is a harmon kardon drive and play. Works great. Ipod just plugs into wire in glove box and stays in there. It also charges the Ipod as well. We had ordered the boat with the mp3 connection but it is just a head phone jack next to the drivers seat and you have to put he Ipod in the drink holder.

jeffrpod 04-10-2006 2:05 PM

Darin - Now that you are using the boat - in retrospec would add any options, or like you said above, not bothered to order things like the MP3 Player connection?

wakeslife 04-10-2006 4:06 PM

Darin- Did the Mp3 input jack from the factory not work or did you just not like the idea of putting your I Pod in the cupholder? I ask because our new boat has the jack and I just picked up the cord to run from the I Pod to the input jack and I really don't mind setting it in the cupholder.

Thanks for your time

kainishida 04-10-2006 4:20 PM

Hey Darin

I see the Union Bug on truck window. You need to get one on the boat!!!

pilot_ryder 04-10-2006 4:23 PM

nice boats guys!

projectely4 04-10-2006 4:44 PM

I installed the Clarion ipod interface with Cenet connection which allows the head unit and remotes to control the ipod and it charges them as well. it acts like a 6 disc cd changer. you have the first disc is your entire library and the next 5 discs are your own custom playlists you have on your ipod.

tenaciousd 04-10-2006 9:00 PM

Jeffrpod and wakeslife the MC shop made it worth it to get the drive and play!! ie. free!! I would have no problem setting the ipod in the drink holder.

tenaciousd 04-10-2006 9:02 PM

Yea I need to get a couple union stickers on the boat. Thanks for reminding me brother.

djhuff 04-12-2006 9:05 AM

here is the boat and tow rig
http://static.flickr.com/43/123545166_becd7f3354_b.jpg

I don't have any good pics, but the factory wake is pretty nice. Much better than my X30 was.
jeffrpod 04-13-2006 6:50 PM

Darin - I owe you for posting pics of the Pro Tour Red X2. I was back and forth between Viper and PT, but seeing your pics pushed me over the edge (plus the wife liked the PTR better too). Nothing against the Viper guys, just think the PTR is more my style. I went with a white deck, so I won't have an exact copy of yours. I'll post some pics the day it gets delivered.

How did the break-in period go? Anything to look out for?

redsupralaunch 04-13-2006 7:06 PM

Congrats - great color

tjdunn 04-13-2006 7:11 PM
