June 13th-17th Antlers Resort. We have a 16 Sleeper Hot tub slide fire place etc... Looking for anyone who wants to hook up and go riding. The original people who were supposed to go can not go anymore. Anyway, before I cancel the trip, I thought I would see if there are any people here who want to come along? Im thinking 400 per person that would cover gas food and sleeping accomodations for the 5 days.

dakid 03-21-2005 5:09 PM

400? sounds like you don't have too many people going. how many do you have confirmed?

whitechocolate 03-21-2005 5:23 PM

Joe $400 is a fair price for 5 day's if you count for food and gas. This is comming from a person that has planned many a houseboat trip,

ridn9high 03-21-2005 5:27 PM

400 is defintely a good price. Especially the way gas prices are looking.

There was 14 of us last summer at shasta and paid around $500 a head for a week. Was well worth the money.

(Message edited by ridn9high on March 21, 2005)

dakid 03-21-2005 5:30 PM

ok, my bad. it's just that i've been on many houseboat trips where food, gas, and booze are supplied along with the houseboat for 250 a head.

no disrespect intended.

on another note, how many people are bringing wake boats?

lukeduke95 03-21-2005 5:45 PM

That IS pretty cheap. I am starting to plan one, and I found a boat at Don Pedro that makes it about 275 per person for the week. Add gas for the boat and food, and you are well over his $400.

I may be camping up there during that same time. But will be at the Antlers State Campground, with some family friends.

We'll have to hook up though.

Daniel, I would think twice about inviting people you don't know well on a houseboat. It could go bad several different ways. I'm not being negative just realistic. One bad apple can ruin a trip for everyone.

poser007 03-21-2005 6:22 PM

Hey guys, I know I can get at least 6 or so of my friends from around here. The houseboat is 3000 for the five days. Im not trying to make money on this trip. I originaly planned this with my own family and some other people but not sure I will still be married by then (long story) Anyway, I will have my Pro V there and plenty of gear. Most of the people who would be going are probabbly early thirties on up. Of course I will be the best wakeboarder on the boat lol kidding.

john30 03-21-2005 6:42 PM

Dan I'm gonna talk to my wife. Any kids goin? I have a son 7, and a daughter 2. I would tow mine down too.

poser007 03-21-2005 7:15 PM

John, Kids would be welcome. The boat sleeps 16 I know there will be one other gal there named Lisa so far she is I think 34ish. That would be great having 2 Pro V's there.

john30 03-21-2005 7:20 PM

Sorry bout the dbl post but I'm out.... seems that I have other engagements.
Don't know if you'll still be married? Hope you're jokin bro. Cmon Medford residents help a brutha out...like Hillary said, It takes a village!!!! I'll shut up.

wake_101 03-21-2005 8:02 PM

I can't go Daniel but hey I'd love to see you out there on the water and maybe get a tow from one of your really nice wakeboat friends instead of ridding on the lest side cleate of our 85 GLaspar that is a piece of •••••••••• than the fact that it runs.

john30 03-21-2005 8:11 PM

Aaron at least you're able to enjoy the water man. It's nice to have a purpose built boat but the bottom line is your out on the water with family and or friends.

poser007 03-21-2005 8:14 PM

Thats to bad Johnny would have been nice to met you and your family. Aaron you are more then welcome to get a pull while we are there

john30 03-21-2005 8:34 PM

Yeah that really is too bad. It sounds like an awesome time. Never been on a houseboat. Bummer. I wouldn't even mind tent camping down there at Shasta. Wife reminds me that we are trying to get the house ready to sell so that we can build a house in Gig Harbor.
I have a friend that went down last year and has been hittin us up to go. He's the guy w/ the '04 Launch.
deuce 03-22-2005 7:51 AM

We would be making MANY more houseboat trips to Powell if the prices were like Shasta.... You guys have it so good.

Couldn't get close to that at Powell.....in fact, I would say you would be over double and that is assuming you don't take the houseboat far.

E.J.

poser007 03-22-2005 9:48 AM

EJ, I booked it in the discount month. If I were to go after the 17th June it would have nearly doubled.

bassmanjoshis 03-22-2005 10:04 AM

That sounds phenominal! We just don't do those kind of things here in canada!

deuce 03-22-2005 10:09 AM

Rental rates on the Odyssey, which IMO does not looks as nice as the Silverthorn Queen I(never been on the SQ-I, so just assuming). Note, when it says 6 days, that really means 5 nights.

RENTAL PERIOD 1/1/2005 to 12/31/2005
4 Day $5,400
5 Day $6,750
6 Day $9,499
7 Day $9,499

Lake Powell rapes people on their houseboat rates. Go to Lakepowell.com to check the rates of the smaller boats.....

E.J.

poser007 03-22-2005 3:07 PM

Wow, and I thought Shasta rates were bad!!!!!!! Anyway come on people, there has got to be more people who would be interested in this? Don't be shy, the people who are already wanting to go are very nice easy to get along with type people. What we really need is more women so they could cook our breakfast! lol kidding

breakz77 03-22-2005 7:24 PM

I might be able to roll up there for a couple days. I won't know until it gets a little closer..but I'll let you know

poser007 03-24-2005 3:36 PM

Okey doke Mike let me know asap! SO far we have about 5 people who are confirmed, I would like to get at least 10

buzz_grande 03-26-2005 7:51 AM

I am checking to see what the chances are of getting time off that week. If I can, I would really be interested. Myself at least, possibly one more with me. Would bring my 05 VLX and boards, surfer, etc. Hope to hear in a couple days, and will let you know. Sounds like a blast. Never ridden at Shasta, and never been on a houseboat, except at the boat show.

poser007 03-26-2005 3:08 PM
