how to get lots of slack in the line for handle pass tricks.

Hey everyone, I have just learned how to do a 360 but I am not consistent because the line has a lot of tension. I have tried a small progressive edge into the wake but then I don't have enough speed to clear the wake and end up casing it. if I go hard into the wake and then lay off my edge a lot before I hit the wake, will this create slack?

You want to squat alot more and use your legs to create height. A wider cut will help build speed to the wake but the flat edge at the wake lessens the line tension. What line length are you riding at?

As mentioned above a more squatted position will help. Also another thing to help you greatly! When you begin your pull on the handle it should be a 2 handed pull. If you begin your pull with 2 hands as long as possible it make a huge difference!

You don't want slack. You want to never let the handle get away from you. Once it is gone…its gone.

One of the most common mistakes on a frontside 360 is people try to go from an edging handle position straight to their back hip. Try pulling the handle to your lead hip first (like a regular wake jump) and then across your body. It will make a big difference. It is easy to get away with the short cut on a 180, but it can be a huge problem for a 360.
