Looking for an idea of what is a good value (USED probably) for the money i have, thanks

phaeton 05-09-2003 2:54 PM

If you look hard enough you can get a new loaded Calabria Cal-Air, Moomba Mobius, Supreme, Sanger or Centurion for that. It will amaze you what you can get when you don't pay for a name.

www.Wake-Me.com

Ditto..

goodtime 05-09-2003 7:20 PM

Ive been Looking at used Supra Launches, Sunsetter Malibus, cant find any VLXs, and some Air Nautiques DD, any more suggestions would be great, looking for the best value. thanks

sae4life 05-09-2003 7:32 PM

Todd,
You can get a decked out Sky supreme for about 35000. Come to think of it you can get a bunch of brand new decked out boats for about 35K. Personally I'll take a warranty and a new one over a used boat, especially if it only costs me 30 bucks more a month.
My .02

goodtime 05-09-2003 7:54 PM

Id rather not pay payments for a boat, how does a SKY SUPREME wake compare with the SANGER V210 or DD Malibu? just curious never seen a supreme in the water? thanks
like those 3 boats, CCs are $!

malibususpect 05-09-2003 8:07 PM

we got our '99 wakesetter with only 100 hours on it for $24,500 just keep looking around something is going to pop up

sae4life 05-09-2003 9:01 PM

I have a 2002 Sky V-pro.. the closest boat to it would be a Malibu VLX... they are real close to each other. My memory is the mailbu wake wasnt quite as wide but they had the same size and feel.

goodtime 05-09-2003 9:05 PM

V-pro looks like a great boat, the only hiccup is that we have a house N of Blythe, the water level isnt that great somtimes, just looking for a boat that doesnt ride too deep like the Titanic when were riding, just to be safe. Thanks Rob/ where did u get your V pro from in CA?

sae4life 05-10-2003 9:55 AM

Todd,
Berts is carrying the sky supreme line now and I would never send you to the dealer I got mine from... There is nothing nice to say about them so I'll say nothing at all. I go out to Blythe a lot also we have a trailer at sportsman's paradise. If you worried about water level then your only choice is a jet. All the comp boats draw about the same amount of water. I haven't had a problem yet with sand bars out by Blythe but I do know what you mean about water level going up and down often. Keep in mind everyone is weighting their boats to get them farther down in the water for better wakes. Not ideal for the river there but if your smart about it you do fine. Seems like you can save some money by getting a DD insted of a V-drive. Check out the local dealers for some steals I know the tige dealer in corona has a lot of tradins sitting on their ot right now. Who knows you might find something thats perfect for you.
Thanks Rob, Ryan, We have a house on the water in Hidden Valley, 30min up the 95 out of Blythe, i know the water well but just wanted some extra insurance, lots of inboard boats now so im looking for one, i have an eliminator jet for sale, the wakes suck and jets hold no speed well
the VPro and the V210 look like my faves for the $..thanks again, river water is better than lake water...goodtime$

goodtime 05-10-2003 11:43 AM

DDs are a great price, but by the time i fill all 5 sacks, the river water will drop and ill make my own island with my boat..haha
im goin to push my sell this month and look into the vpro or others...thanks again
if your ever up river stop by, beers all around

goodtime 05-12-2003 10:42 PM

Sanger v210 vs. Sky Supreme, any comments? Went shopping and liked these two boats, value and construction

melvinator 05-13-2003 8:22 AM

I bought a 96 Sunsetter VLX last year for 22,500 out the door with a titan tower and wedge and only 300 hours. It is the same hull as the Wakesetter VLX. There are not a ton of them out there, but with the money you save you can have it shipped cross country, deck it out with racks, stereo, and still have money left over for gas for the next 5 years. Just my 2 cents. I think a new moomba LSV for around $32k is not a bad plan either.

Todd, I have a Supreme, great boat, I also looked at Sangers, also very nice. I dont think u can go wrong with either. Happy Hunting

sae4life 05-13-2003 11:01 AM

Those are 2 close boats Todd, I bought the supreme but I'd take the best priced one. Good Luck

typhoon 05-13-2003 11:03 AM

For the buck Supreme, YES
Plus with all the excellent warranties you get you truly cannot go wrong.
www.northwestmarine-ski.com
SKIP
barry 05-14-2003 9:12 AM

Sanger for sure. My neighbor has a 2001 Supreme, although it's a nice boat, the wake, handling, fuel usage, room and rough water handling didn't impress me at all.

B-

typhoon 05-14-2003 9:22 AM
