Just like to get a feel on what everybody pays for boat insurance. Ex. 30K boat is 400 a year, etc...

40k in (total loss)coverage, $438/year, $300 deductible (it's strange but that's as high as they'd let me go). I'll only use insurance if the claim is $1k or more.

75K to cover my boat and pers prop, 300K liability to others and 50K in med pay costs me about 750 a year. Deductible is 250, I believe.

Last boat was about 15K replacement, 100K liability same med and was 250 a year.

On almost all the boats I have owned full coverage cost me approximately 1% of the boats value.

Thus, if the boat is valued at $60,000 expect to pay $600 a year on insurance

Be sure to get a true marine policy. Based on my experience, I would recommend you stay away from the "All-Farm" home and auto companies. In the event of a total loss where a salvage recovery company like me is needed, the difference can be expensive!
