I posted this over in the audio video section but it just dosen't have as much traffic. So with out going over my head I would like to know what I should look for in a basic point and shoot camera. Basically what do you use and how do you like it? I'm looking to spend about 150-250 but I have know idea what to look for. If you have any suggestion that would be great. My basic need is to shoot some action shots at the lake and Mountains but it still needs to be small enough to fit in my pocket so I can take some quick still shots of furniture in retail stores.

check out a Panasonic Lumix. I think it was 400 2 years ago. 6mp and can take some great shots. pretty basic features. 30 sec vid. big screen on it. It may suck completely, but thats what we got and its been a good cam. easy on batts and easy to use. hope that helps.
