i'm eyeing a newer demented or player... what ever happened to the cirrus core boards?

i've been riding an 05 cwb absolute platnum recently & like that its lightweight but don't like how slow it is. i haven't been getting the air-time i used to get while riding my old cobe. it seems like i have to edge really hard on the absolute to get the same airtime as the cobe. does that sound right?

I don't know how much lighter the Cirrus boards were than the boards now but my Natural is unbelievably light. I held my buddies DNA core (that was Hype's "light" core) Parks in one hand and my Natural in the other and there was at least 5 pounds if not more of a difference.

JJakober, Andy, or some other O'brien riders could probably tell you about the wieght of the demented and player.

My buddy rides an absolute and I demoed it and thought the Natural was a far better board. Faster and more forgiving. The Absolute wasn't bad it just wasn't the Natural

Both are insanely light, the lighest O'brien is the Cartel now called the Coda. I ride the player that board rips! Light and low swing weight.

If you want a fast light board check out the Coda. Fast board on the market if you ask me.

(Message edited by andy nintzel on September 08, 2007)

You should check out what was called the Cartel for 2007. Very light and very thin. Oh, and the Delta base makes it pretty quick.

Andy, that's funny, when I began responding to this thread, your post was not there. Then when I hit post message, there it was.

The Natural is lightweight, fast enough, good pop, loose... nice overall board!!!

I have a hard time calling anything light from hyperlite.

this year though, word on the street is the boards are going to be alot lighter though, so ill hold my mouth until i see these "lighter" boards

(Message edited by dlwsrider on September 08, 2007)
