hey i was wondering if anyone has a double decker wakeskate for sale, i would love to ride one, and cant find them anywhere.

jon

wakemitch 12-13-2007 7:12 PM

i have a Dub Stix by New Wakeskates for sale. ridden for 10 minutes totally, never been slide. $150.

theres lots of companies making them. you just have to look.

dlwsrider 12-13-2007 7:32 PM

By double decker do you mean a Bi-Level?

and

Ronix, Gator Boards, Liquid Force (kinda sorta) are making bi-levels at the moment.

Ronix hasnt started shipping yet, but the Zariel is going to be a sick skate.

Gator Boards has the Duece pop, and i personally havnt rode one but i hear that its solid.

LF has the SST, and i put kinda sorta, because it becomes a bi level at the tip and tail, so that you can focus your pop where its needed, but the SST is hard to come by, my boardshop sponser just got their first 07, weird i know.

wakemitch 12-13-2007 7:39 PM

there is also

New Wakeskates

Urth

and
Devotid

Caleb, so when are you going to ditch the straps for good ;)

dlwsrider 12-15-2007 9:58 PM

Ah, I dont know bro, im thinking about it, haha.

I was about to right before i did my ACL going for heelside 360's on the skate, but after that i started diggin my board again.

I might Aaron Rathy it and do both ;)

wakemitch 12-15-2007 10:19 PM

Aaron rathy is TOO good. to bad we dont see much of him on a skate. his riding is so intense

dlwsrider 12-16-2007 8:08 PM

haha for sure,

i got to ride in a rail jam with him once, hes insane

wakemitch 12-17-2007 7:31 AM

whatever happened to rail jams, haha. they are gone.
but they were so fun tto ride in

dlwsrider 12-17-2007 2:42 PM

mhm, they were, rathy is super chill.

one of my friends is riding Jr. Mens on the pro tour, so i told him that if he made top 15, id ride pro wakeskate.

im going to be screwed if he wins that bet

wakemitch 12-17-2007 4:53 PM

haha. but there is no wakeskate on pro tour tour now. only toe jam

scott_a 12-17-2007 5:54 PM

toe jam >>> pro tour

wakemitch 12-17-2007 6:18 PM

scott a, word

dlwsrider 12-17-2007 7:22 PM

yes, but wouldnt it be easier to qualify at a pro tour stop?

and if i thought the pro tour was bad, i might as well light my board on fire and call it over at the toe jam

scott_a 12-17-2007 7:34 PM

There is no wakeskating at the pro tour. That's sorta one of the reasons why the Toe Jam is a "tour" now.

dlwsrider 12-18-2007 8:56 PM

i was not aware of tthat. now i feel stupid

strapless 12-19-2007 10:06 AM

Maybe im completely wrong here but is he talking about Obrien's Bi-level or atleast last years. I think it was called the Obrien Traffic Double D or something.

wakemitch 12-19-2007 10:50 AM

alex c, i dont think it was ever released

dlwsrider 12-19-2007 4:11 PM

Alex, i remember that thing!

i heard it was basically the crappiest thing ever produced in the wakeskating industry,

strapless 12-20-2007 5:18 PM

haha i heard pretty much the same thing which is why i was curious if that was actually the wakeskate he was talking about

dlwsrider 12-21-2007 9:35 AM

Maybe, i dont know.

i remember that it had no flex in the tail and nose, which pretty much killed to point of the bi-level.

andy_nintzel 02-08-2008 11:14 AM

We (Obrien) were working one up but never released it to the public. There should be a new one out in a year.

chetmaherwakecom 02-09-2008 6:07 AM

i HAVE A GATOR DUECE POP 2008 FOR SALE DISCOVERBAY CA

CHET@MAHERWAKE.CO M

dlwsrider 02-10-2008 11:05 AM

While we are on the topic, I'm hearing rumors that the guys over at CWB's R&D are slaving over a hot batch of wakeskates.

They should be something of good quality and performance from what I've heard.

wakemitch 02-10-2008 11:28 AM

Caleb, have you ridden the zariel yet? i bet youre anxious for that 44"

dlwsrider 02-10-2008 6:50 PM

Hahaha no, not yet.

I'm calling my rep tommorow to put in the order for my skate(s). I'm hoping i can get one for rails and one for wake, but ill be happy for anything. lol

and just to clear it up.... I'm on a 42" lol

wakemitch 02-11-2008 10:50 AM

Caleb, I got a chance to ride it. Its a good skate. But you will want to shape the rails quite a bit.

44 is rediculous haha.

dlwsrider 02-11-2008 5:35 PM

haha nice.

You rode a seperate one than the one their producing as the final product.

They still arent releasing them yet. They are not even giving me one yet, lol. The final product will have much better rails.

wakemitch 02-11-2008 6:53 PM

yeah thats what ive heard. its a good deck with a snappy ollie. but it doesnt feel like a wood deck at all to me. the fiberglass wrap protects the wood but hides the feeling. but i think the rail change will make it better.

wood bottom deck is a must in all bilevels

dlwsrider 02-11-2008 7:46 PM

I would agree with that, but I have never been a fan of wood decks and always skate composite skates. But I have never rode a bi-level either, so my opinion is invalid at this point.

Either way im stoked to get it. I can't wait

wakemitch 02-11-2008 8:10 PM

if you like comp decks then you will love the zariel. i havent met many people that have prefered comp over wood, interesting.

dlwsrider 02-12-2008 5:32 PM

Yeah, Im a definant exception to that. Plus i love rails, so comp just makes sense
