Awesome is the only word to describe riding with Rusty. And that same to be said about hanging out with his family and friends. I can't say enough about how down to earth and chill all of them are. Rusty and Lindsy treated me far better then i could have ever expected or asked and even invited me back to there home again next year. So i am super pumped to make the trip back down there again. They are just amazing people. Also just so you all know rusty does have the worlds biggest wake. Dude runs more water then i ever thought that boat could hold and i have an X-Star. So his wake is massive.

homedawg678 02-10-2009 5:23 PM

That's so sick dude! I am extremely jealous! Glad to hear you had a good time though.

aroed 02-10-2009 6:19 PM

too bad that board is like $700 bc i would tell you never to put that thing in the water again. thats badass, im glad that my wakeboarding idles are awesome people unlike some sports like baseball and a-rod, bonds, clemens, tejada, the list of names goes on....

michaelspsp 02-10-2009 6:38 PM

ok, what does he use for ballast? the fly high pro system im sure. anything else??? great photos too. ty

jarrod 02-10-2009 7:45 PM

"the fly high pro system im sure. anything else??? "

I would imagine all the weight he can until the boat won't plane out.

burbanized 02-10-2009 7:49 PM

Kool pics. Thats super stoke that you got to session with Rusty. SWEET

j_money 02-10-2009 8:08 PM

J E A L O U S! Awesome dude!

delmage171 02-10-2009 8:09 PM

someone told me 6000lb or something crazy? lol might be off

wake2wake_66 02-10-2009 8:24 PM

I thought Rusty had a new wrap? Not that the PWT X-Star is not sick enough. But Rusty's new wrap is insane!

lakemiltonwake08 02-10-2009 8:29 PM

You make Rusty look short. Looks like you had a blast.

bcnumber1 02-11-2009 4:55 AM

Looks like you had an awesome time man, congrats.

benjaminp 02-11-2009 7:30 AM

Yeah, I am a little surprised that Rusty doesnt run his own wrap. Boat, wake, and trip still looks unreal though, its good to hear that you appreciate what an experience it was.

helinut 02-11-2009 7:34 AM

So are you sportin' the full wetsuit where Rusty only has shorts and a vest? Panzy! Sounds like a good time!

vlxwakeboarder 02-11-2009 7:37 AM

Shawn, thats Rusty in the fullsuit. Just a different set. He Didn't show any pictures of himself riding.

michaelspsp 02-11-2009 7:45 AM

i drove by his house a few years ago, the one when he lived w harf. rusty had 2 x-stars in his backyard.....
so i wonder if he has more than 1 now

wayz 02-11-2009 8:15 AM

Rusty's X-Star is looking sick. Thanks for sharing.

saceone 02-11-2009 11:58 AM

ahah I love the AIR NAUTIQUES banner :D
kiddin'

nice pics and it must have been quite the experience!!!

wakeriderixi 02-11-2009 12:28 PM

The Nautique's banner is at OWC.

pnichols 02-11-2009 12:28 PM

William, did you get to ride, and did you learn any new tricks?

ironj32 02-11-2009 12:43 PM

that's awesome man. congrats!

infantryman2oo2 02-11-2009 3:51 PM

sorry it took so long to get back on here. And yeah i got to take several sets behind it however i didn't take any pic's of me riding behind it nor would they be half as cool as his pic's... and to answer the question as to how much water he runs.

He runs enough water C.I.E. said till it will just bearly get on plane is the best way to discribe it. he got the boat the day i got down there and it he keep filling bags till it wouldn't plane that drained the last bag in half and tested it and it got on plane so he put a bit more water in and then ran that. So it was the stock ballast, plus pro fly high ballast, plus a few more.

Rusty only runs the one X-Star and he runs what ever boat mastercraft gives him. This year it was the PWT. And as far as the board goes it my be a $700 board but i'll never ride it again. It found its place on my wall and i'm waiting till the new model comes out cause i got a sneak peek at the graphic going on it and it's sick.

O yeah and i'm from wisconsin so i only rode in board shorts and a jacket no wet suits at all.

wake2wake_66 02-11-2009 3:59 PM

What do the new graphics look like William?

infantryman2oo2 02-11-2009 4:21 PM

the only one i got to see graphic wise is the PWT and it looks just like the picture. However Rusty puts his other sponsor's decals on the boat such as the rock stars in the corner or the fox sticker in the center of the "P"... But check this link out from another forum on wakeworld

http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/668349.html?1234396523

or check out the mastercraft site they should have all there new stuff up.

http://www.mastercraft.com/

wake2wake_66 02-11-2009 5:07 PM

William, I mean the new board. What do the graphics on the 2010 board look like?

wakerider111 02-11-2009 5:56 PM

I love the photo with the billboard in the back ground that says "SWING HIGHER"

michaelspsp 02-11-2009 7:37 PM

and what speed does he ride at? 25?

tx03gt 02-11-2009 9:26 PM

He was out with us last May and we pulled him around 25 or 26 I think. We also had stock ballast with the fly high pro + 8 people. In a star with with that much weight that speed is the norm.

adam_balon 02-11-2009 9:52 PM

hahahaha. wicked rusty.

infantryman2oo2 02-12-2009 9:02 AM

the board all i can say is its sick looking no pic's of it. they keep that stuff secret till it releases so i must do the same but it looks sick. and yeah he gets pulled at 25mph

wakecourage 02-12-2009 9:27 AM

william....colours of the board? Can you describe the graphics. Iam going to buy a marek just not sure if its worth waiting a little longer for the new one

infantryman2oo2 02-12-2009 2:52 PM

i'd love to but knowing the type of person rusty is i don't think he'd want me to. The board it's self isn't changing so to save money i'd buy this years cause all you'd be payin for is this years graphic. which is definetly sick but the price difference i don't think is worth it for any graphic

michaelspsp 02-12-2009 3:35 PM

ill tell, its pink w purple stars and red hearts

michaelspsp 02-12-2009 3:41 PM

i hope rusty doesnt come after me now for letting that out....
buy the board NOW it rocks!

wake2wake_66 02-12-2009 4:04 PM

Michael, that's hilarious. I hope it looks similar to his new wrao. That thing is sick!

michaelspsp 02-12-2009 4:21 PM

justin , thats a great idea actually! i wonder if i could get a wrap to cover my marek like that? instead of buying a new board. i have an x-star but i think i am getting rid of it at the end of the year. so maybe my next x-star will match my board that way.

wake2wake_66 02-12-2009 4:24 PM

Michael, I just got a new X-45 and me and my mom and bro are trying to convince my dad that we need Rusty's wrap on our boat, but he is'nt falling for it.

michaelspsp 02-12-2009 4:29 PM

wow, 3 against one. i bet he gives in. what color is it now? and hyperlite and mastercraft, if you use this idea, you have to give me and justin something!

wake2wake_66 02-12-2009 4:35 PM

We haven't decided the color yet. We ordered it, and they don't need to know the colors until next week. I am thinking black and red, or red and white. Have you noticed any sick colors we could look at, Michael? I am coming from a lime green and black Tige'.

michaelspsp 02-12-2009 4:51 PM

great boat. i have a friend that bought an x-45 in 2005 and traded last year for a 2008. if i were you i would play w the mastercraft design a boat feature on their web site. i like the black... or black and anything...

wake2wake_66 02-12-2009 5:16 PM

I think black and red looks pretty rad, but my dad and I are clean freaks and black is hard to keep clean. (I live on a dusty road) So I we might go with red and white.

michaelspsp 02-12-2009 5:36 PM

absolutely. my x-star is purple. i am amazed when i take the cover off how dirty it is..and thats while docked at the marina...

wake2wake_66 02-12-2009 5:48 PM

Purple is my favorite color! I didn't know purple was an option.

michaelspsp 02-12-2009 6:03 PM

2004, for some reason they stopped offering it after that......

michaelspsp 02-12-2009 7:09 PM

and it was called iris not purple...

oldguy 02-13-2009 1:08 PM

Rusty has got to be one of the most humble people alive. So successful and yet so down to earth. I know you had a great time, congratulations.

infantryman2oo2 02-13-2009 2:20 PM

that exactly it Tim. he is definetly extreamly humble and i don't think you'll find a person who has meet him that would say any different

michaelspsp 02-13-2009 2:45 PM

will, do you know what rope length he rides at ...83?

and congratulations on winning the trip!

infantryman2oo2 02-14-2009 11:46 AM

yeah he rides out at about 85ft

michaelspsp 02-14-2009 5:21 PM

thanks will
