Does anyone out there know of this boat? what they compare to here in the us, i.e. malibu, mastercraft, tige, or something like the moomba?

High quality fit and finsh on par with Malibu. From what I've seen they are very expensive and they only make one v drive that if I'm not mistaken they started producing this last year. Check out their website the interior is a bit odd as is the layout but kinda cool too. I have no clue about the wake.

Svfara has been around since 2002. I know this because I own a first generation SV609. They make a few different boats. The website is the best place to hit for information on what they sell.

If you want customer reviews, I think there are a few of us on the board here who have them. Give me a PM if you have questions.

A satisfied owner

Trash

www.svfara.com

They are Canadian made Boats

I also have an SV609, 2004
Build quality is top notch, been very happy with it.

Haven't had a chance to check out their V-drive, SV2 I think it's called... I'm not crazy about the layout, but I guess that would be a personal preference.

They are coming out with a new V-drive this fall from what I hear, I'm hoping it has more of a traditional seating layout...

They make the SV ONE which is only a ski boat but it uses a mid-engine V-drive and is the fastest thing you'll ever see come out of the hole. (except a drag boat)
They looked pretty well finished at the boat show I saw them at. The hulls are fairly flat. I've never been in one on the water.

there is a new dealer a few minutes from my house. I want to go check them out in person. not a big fan of the step through transom, but a lot of people like it.

I don't get the whole cow pattern either...

I think it looks much better monochrome:

bcrider 09-10-2007 9:58 AM

I don't think it's true.

krbaugh 09-10-2007 2:36 PM

Rob Shirley started MAsterCraft. He left the company then was called back in 1998 to help save the new ProStar 190 http://www.waterskimag.com/article.jsp?ID=12282 Rob and Kris started Infinity. When the company failed he sold the molds to Svfara

http://www.waterskimag.com/article.jsp?ID=40486

(Message edited by krbaugh on September 10, 2007)
