Damn, didnt this same guy just try to land a 777 at the San Fran airport? Acts like the crew has never captained a ship before. Also, what the F was the tub driver doing???? isnt that what a tug id there to help with?

No chit! I thought the tug was there to guide them in. Where exactly was that ship trying to get to? Those docks didn't look like they were meant to support that kind of a boat.

As of this morning the "Cypress Cement" vessel is moored at port where she collided with the dock/ boats. Can you imagine showing up one morning thinking you were going to enjoy the day on the water and your boat is shredded and full of water!!!

wakereviews 07-11-2013 7:35 AM

i think they gave that guy who drove the houseboat into the channel a job driving something he could do more damage with.

It almost looked to me like he got pushed that direction or some sort of current/tide took him that way. It kind of looked like he tried to get the boat move forward but it was just too late and he couldn't get the prop turning fast enough, soon enough to stop his momentum from moving backwards. In a ship that size and weight I can't imagine it is easy to stop your momentum and go the other direction. Especially if a massively powered tug pushes you that direction.

News said prop malfunction...... As in prop stuck I'm reverse no one knew how to go forward?
