I'm trying to design a box to fit under the helm of my 08 Moomba LSV and I have limited room... <BR> <BR>I might be able to squeeze a premade box back behind the foot rest and front storage area(short term), but in the long run I would like a custom box to fit under there... <BR> <BR>Would this box design work? It should work. You probably won't need the square overhang, though, if you find a sub with small enough enclosure specs. Here's my Supra box with a JL 10w7 -- behind the facade panel, it looks much like your drawing above...but without the square part that hangs behind the foot-rest. Thanks, depending on the sub I choose, I have room to adjust for volume by shortening the "overhang"

try the kicker l7 or l5 sub, very minimal airspace and great bang for your buck IMO. They alos hold up very well in a marine environment.

just cut out the floor hump and throw in an L7 15''...... i did and it hammers

Tailgate, <BR> <BR>I think your box design will work. <BR> <BR>We use a .625 net volume (about .675 gross internal) side-firing sealed enclosure built from 5/8-inch stock. It fits in under the driver’s console and over the floor hump and extends to the bow surface. It’s a simple rectangular shape. You can insert the box into position and barely clear the underdash steering mechanism. This requires zero modification to your Moomba. Bracketry is a little complex. There are a number of good 10-inch woofers that will fit this displacement including Polk dB or MM, JL Audio W1 or W3 or W6, Kicker, etc. <BR> <BR>A Boston Acoustics G2, G3, or G5 10-inch sub (facing exterior) with a 10-inch passive radiator (facing interior) works in a 0.5 cu. ft. 3/4-inch enclosure. <BR> <BR>Note, the Moomba and Supra consoles look similar, but are very different inside. <BR> <BR>David E.M.

I squeezed 2 JL10W0's under the helm of my 07 Supra.
