I have a 06 mb b52 with the 2 speed tranny! Do I need to change the fluid and if I do what is a good way to do so?
I would change it or at least check it
fluid extractors work well just be sure to add the exact amount back in then check the levels
also a little slower a turkey baster works well
For sure change it. If i remember correctly, that will have a filter also. Part #H3312199031 from Hurth

I had a whole different type of tranny in mind when I opened this thread.
LOL!!! Hate you are so wrong man! LOL!!!
No kidding Hate! This reminds me of the "More Bass" thread.

Funny you should mention "more bass" that just so happens to be me and my wife's safety word. I use to be "harder" but for some reason we would get our signals crossed on that one.
"More Bass" is the safety word?! I've been trying to come up with a good reply for the last 20 minutes, but I can't stop laughing thinking of how that sounds should you get to the safety word point. Awesome.
Yeah, I actually have never made it to the safety word...the midget usually chokes me out by then.
Change the fluid and filter every time you change the oil - not expensive to do at all but it is an expensive tranny...
this maybe a dumb question, how does the 2 speed trany work on these boats? Does it provide better fuel economy?
Hee Hee, he said "two speed tranny..." Ha!
