With or Without the " Shakes".... ?

This tower won't shake Mr. Bu. This tower is actually really solid. It is the newer style than this that shakes.

You guys are funny. There were no "band aids" for this tower. I actually like most things about this tower than the newer one.

Had a similar tower to that one on 06 x-1 with fixed board racks. The bolts for the tower and boardracks are a joke. The smart guys at MC put lock tight on them. That never works when you put it on a super soft aluminum bolt. Round-off city. One of the dumbest things I have ever seen. Saw the tower, reminded me, had to vent. Sorry but have no idea what the tower worth.

Once again, that is a different tower in the video.

dang everyone that tried to post vids or comments isnt even talking about the tower posted on the first post. Thats funny, makes me wonder how much experience you guys really have with MC towers. What you heard the new ones shake so you wana compare what you heard to an older style tower???? Get your facts before you post vids. Sorry had to vent myself. For the record MC send out FREE aluminum stabilizers to any customer that had problems with there 08 and 07 towers.

I'm guessing that it came off of an x-star. Assuming that, there isn't really a market for the towers, as they all come with one. If you're going to put in on ebay or something, I'd give all the dimensions and say take it or leave it. That said, I'd pay 1500-2000 for it. It looks to be already wired for wetsounds, but it doesn't have the racks, which would set someone back 1500 or so.

Dave- I sold MC for 4 years.. It was a "Joke" just like the crap you guys would say about the " Wedge" or whatever... And Yes I did sell when that tower was out. Some Jack A-- is going to put it on a bayliner I am sure of it.

It would fit older models as long as the dimensions work. Not sure what the beam of an old style X30 is but that would probably be the only one that comes close in beam.

It is an OLDER 2004 x-Star tower. <BR> <BR>By the way...the tower video. Some idiot managed to undo everything possible and make it as loose as possible to make that tower look weak. Bad attempt to discredit MC. <BR> <BR>You BU tower guys...I love those bungee cords hitting you in the face. Right next to the chrome pitting and falling off.

Not an 04. It is setup to have swivel racks which weren't available till 05. It could possibly be an 05 or 06 X80 tower as well. I think the X80 had the same tower as the Xstar.

Uh, no TK. That MC is on my dock &amp; the owner didn't do a thing to "make it as loose as possible". It's an 05 X1 with under 100 hrs on it. <BR>In fact there are a couple other boats on the same lake with the same problem. I am guessing INW MC will be busy installing the "72 piece band-aids" this winter. <BR> <BR>I don't get the "bungee cords" comment. I dont' have any bungee cords anywhere on the boat. Or chrome pitting.

I believe he was talking about the mickey mouse racks that come standard on a malibu. From your profile picture, I'm assuming you ride the air chair and that you've probably got a rack that clamps it. No bungees on that. <BR> <BR>As far as the chrome, I can second that comment. Whatever process that malibu uses to chrome their hardware needs to be revised.

wow.. you guys all need to stop by your local bu dealer malibus do NOT come with racks. you can add what ever you want. so if you think malibus racks are cheap then you picked the wrong ones.

X80 towers dont fold down, so its not that. I think it is an Xstar tower, I believe 05. <BR>Brett, glad to help.
