Can go w2w consistently HS and TS (finally) but generally feel like there isn't much air. Once or twice I can tell I've gotten really booted, but am having trouble finding the feel for getting all of the pop. Anybody have a tip, or a thought they keep in mind while cutting in that helps get the body position and timing right?

Typical jump for me:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdXY_j6tt34

(Message edited by evadehickman on June 10, 2009)

If you have access to a place that sells books read the latest Wakeboarding Magazine. They break it down pretty well.

Key points are

1) Dont bend your knees too much when coming at the wake. Just more work and timing involved when you get to the wake.

2) It all comes down to tension on the rope. As you come towards the wake you want a nice steady build up of tension. By the time you get to the wake you want to feel like you are trying to pull the boat back. Its like a tug of war.

3) Look at the top of the wake. It helps you time it better.

4) When you get to the wake you want
a) to straighten out your legs
b) keep your chest high
c) arms straight but close to your hips
d) push your hips forward

If you lift weights it almost is like doing a rack pull (top portion of the deadlift)

From looking at your video it looks like the problem is you arent building up enough tension.

You look good for the most part. The thing I notice is you let the wake knock your knees up a little. Whenever your knees come up like that, they're just absorbing the pop you would be getting. Just stand tall, lock those knees and you'll feel that nice floaty pop!
