Expertise Needed!

I know that there have been many of these posts before but i am too lazy to go searching for them. But i need to buy new boardshorts and always have a problem with boardshorts being too short! It annoys me cause its def not comfortable sitting there and you got your shorts hiked up in the boat. So aside from the reasons, which boardshorts do you all think are longer between Ten-80 and Cire? Or if there are other companies that produce boardshorts that are longer please let me know. I have worn billabong, matix, o'neill, and quiksilver. They all are not long enough. Im 6'1" so im a bit taller. Thanks for the help!

Hurley phantom 60's fit a little longer than my billabong recycler series. both size 30. the hurleys are way comfy and super stretchy too.

someone else said he had the same problem so he actually buys shorts a size or 2 bigger then gets them adjusted by a tailor.

Love my CIRE's. I'm 6'1 and have run into a length problem occasionally with boardies. CIRE is awesome. Just get your waist size, and they'll take care of the rest. I love mine. You should love some too.

CIRE'S Go Get em!!! I would suggest the "Nintzel" Style chicks really dig it!

Cires are long.

WOW....cant you just worry about how youre riding?

bogartsomeday 06-09-2010 12:05 PM

Lee - In no way did my thread mention anything about my riding. Idk where your comment came from but its easy to guess that you are just one of those people on this forum who read threads and are quicker to criticize than to help. My thread is no reason for a big "WOW". Im asking about boardshorts and what brands fit longer cause im taller, how the hell does that purtain (spelling?) to my riding?....people are so ridiculous on here sometimes...

Everyone else - although few, thanks for the thumbs up on cires. Idk if im completely sold on them yet just cause boardshorts are expensive and i dont wanna just throw my money at a pair. Who knows, we'll see if i get some....or maybe i should just wear nothing and worry more about my riding! :P

Fox makes long shorts too

Yo, the new Jetpilot shorts are really long, the SD Chino boardshorts are like an extra inch or two longer than their regular boardshorts which are already pretty long. Im standing here in my SD Chino's and they are like probably at least 4 inches below my knee cap!

bbr 06-09-2010 12:58 PM

CIRE's!!! They are long, and fit like no other boardshorts.

Andy,
the Nintzels are dope.

acurtis_ttu 06-09-2010 1:16 PM

I'm 6'3" even the long shorts on me are short...lol.

I have done what mark has talked about ( having them taliored) I really like the ten 80s. I'buy about 2-3 sizes to big and have them altered to fit. They end up looking normal IMO. It's a problem when your waist is small and your tall.

the CIRE's look long in person, a buddy has a few pairs, but he's 5'10??

seth 06-09-2010 1:24 PM

im 6'4 and the Cire's are definately long enough, and like Brandon said they fit like no other boardshorts. Plus they have the 09's on their site for $24!!!

ttrigo 06-09-2010 1:52 PM

Cire's are great. long and fairly inexpensive considering the cost of other brands out there.

bogartsomeday 06-10-2010 6:19 PM

thanks for all the input guys! I just ordered a pair of 09's and will probably order another pair once i get paid again. We'll see how they fit too. Cant wait to get em in!
