Picked it up on Friday. 2006 Silverado 2500HD crew cab 4x4, 6 liter gas engine. I love this thing!

That's a nice ride! I'm looking at the same rig right now. I love the black on black look. Nice job!

Nice rig Nick,
What package is it, LT?
I've got the same thing, more or less, 2006 2500HD 4x4 Crew w/6 liter. You won't even know the boat is back there.
It's a great truck, enjoy.

Sweet truck Scott... How much lift do you have, and what brand?

Yeah, it is an LT, but does not have leather yet. I will add it later, but it is still cloth interior at the moment.

Nice truck you'll like everything about it but the 8-10 mpg while towing.

scottnaz 03-10-2008 9:48 AM

Nick, I've got a 6" Fabtech lift with 35" Mickey Thompsons on 20's. I've always been a huge fan of the black, just too lazy to wash it as often as needed.

Like nu bu says, gas mileage is a killer sometimes when towing. I don't even bother calculating it when I'm towing around a 10k lb. dump trailer.

We have an 07 burb ltz with the ly6 and on the way back from lake chelan, towing our x-star, we got down to 0 miles to the gallon according to the mpg on the dash

Both of those are sweet. I lucked out and practically stole this from the dealer.

airwarrior04 03-13-2008 9:46 PM

Yeah you wont know its back there untill i pass you uphill with my duramax. haha jk congrats

sidekicknicholas 03-13-2008 9:56 PM

what kind of gas milage does the 6.0 gas get?

I've been in FL with my friends F250 V10 as our only means of transportation and he is thinking about a 2500....
just wonder how milage compares
we're currently getting like 8 towing a Nautique210
and about 12 w.o anything behind us

bird_dog0347 03-13-2008 10:42 PM

I get about 12 without towing and about 8.5 towing my 24SSV.

yubasanger 03-14-2008 12:26 AM

Until airwarrior has to fill his gas tank at $4.00 a gallon. I have a dodge ram with 5.2 get 14 not towing and 10-11 towing my V215. Can’t see myself spending $50,000 on a new truck to get worse gas mileage. Sweet looking rig though congrats!

bird_dog0347 03-14-2008 6:13 AM

I would have loved to get a new one, but I did not have 50k for it either after getting the new boat. I got mine for 19k and it had less than 26k miles on it.

Since we are showing off the new rides...08 D/A...Got it for 2k below invoice on top of rebates and 2.9%...Isn't broken in and have gotten 14 city, and 18 hwy. Better than my old 5.3. Towed the boat once...could tell it was there, but only because it rode better! No mpg's yet with the boat in tow.
