I was wondering how I should use my "attitude adjustment plates" or "trimtab" on my x-2 2007 for wakesurfing? Should I put it down or up? Either way, could it be bad for the wake?

James, for my boat I used run trim tab up on the regular side and down for the goofy side. I used to think the difference was related to the whole prop rotation issue. My goofy surfers ride at about 9 mph while regular surfers were surfing at 10 mph or faster. Last week I pulled out a tinny Trick Boardz board and rode it. I had to slow the boat down to 9 mph but the wake was very washy and had little push. I had the driver trim up to about 50% and the wake just perked up.

So here’s my thinking, Inboard boats have some bow rise, less than I/Os; at slower speeds, in my case less than 9 mph I need some trim tab. At higher speeds or if I don’t have enough bow weight then I might add more trim tab.
