Should I go with the 142 or the 138 transcend? I'm 6'3" 170 lbs. What advantage would one be over the other?

I would lean towards the 142 but honestly you could probably ride either jut fine. You might get a little more stability out of the 142.

for sure the 142 I used to ride a smaller board and switched a few years ago. (I was forced, by a friend) best thing I ever did. but I have about 20 lbs on ya.

Yup you are on the bubble, you can go either way. <BR>As far as the specs on the board from CWB a <BR>138 is up to 175 and the <BR>142 is for 160 and up.

I would say go with the 142 it will create more pop for you. Plus your tall so if you go over the nose the 142 should plow out of it instead of diving. I am short and can get away with riding a 132 but now I ride a 138. Gives me more pop and I can get out of trouble easyer. Plus a bigger board will land softer.

I'm the opposite of Al. I switch from 141+ back down to a 138. Feels lighter and snappier to me. The transcend is a fast board, so you can get away with riding it a little smaller imo.

I'm 6'1", 180 and I ride the 142 and absolutely love it! IMO, go with the 142.

i'm 6'1 180 - 185 depending on breakfast, and i used to ride a 140, i tried a 136 and i was hooked. I personally thought it was more responsive. I didnt feel much of a difference on the landings, and what i did feel, i'd attribute more to the construction of my new Premier vs. my old Parks. I now like shorter boards, but between a 138 and 142, i think its more up to preference really. Me, I'd put my vote towards the 138.
