matching rims of trailer and truck
Thinking of doing this and looking for pictures of your setup if you have matching rims on both your tow rig and your trailer. Post em up if you got a second.
thanks |
This sounds right up my alley....
First two are exact matches and the last one is just similar <img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m95/tyler97217/2007%20Supra%2022SSV/internetSSL12237.jpg"> <img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m95/tyler97217/2008%20Supra%2021V/P6120401.jpg"> <img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m95/tyler97217/2102%20Supra%2021V/photo26.jpg"> |
I like the look in some ways, but then again I don't. It just looks like you are trying to hard or something. Similar looks good, but identical is not for me I guess.
Diggs, as usual, sick rigs nevertheless! |

Diggs, I love the last pic.... that is what I was looking for something like that.
I have Gear Blackjack's on my trailer and thinking of putting them on my black F150 that I just got. (can see both of them on other threads, but I need to get pictures of boat and truck together sometime soon for everyone) Dave - that boat is just plain amazing looking. I have loved that boat since the day you put it up here. Love the rig all together. I just got a truck that had a topper. Pulled it off and I loved it even more. Functional yes, but my kids said it made it look like a grandpa truck. At 36 that wasn't what I wanted them to say. Ha...Love the whole setup, having the storage in the truck compared to my SUV's I have had is a world of difference. Thanks for the posts. Will post this weekend pics of my setup. Then you all can tell me if I should go for the matching rims on the truck. |
One more thing Diggs....do you tow with your bimini up? Never have but see alot of pictures with them up and wondering if people are doin it. May start another quick thread on that.

Doesn't match exactly but they are similar. http://img.tapatalk.com/43b1aefe-c7df-f3a4.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/43b1aefe-c822-03a4.jpg

Yes I tow with the Bimini up. It is a Z5 and meant to be towed on. I have towed 1200 miles each way with it. They have towing straps you can hook on as well to give it even more rigidity, but it is not going anywhere unless you had it at a bad angle where the wind would catch it. |
Interesting that you tow with it. I need to find out from other owners of my boat what they do. thanks for posting man.
Others with MBs do you tow with your bimini up? (have a MB widebody) |
Scott
The Z5 is different from a typical bimini. http://www.z5sportracks.com/ |
ahhhh thanks!

I know it would look better without the shell, but it's way too convenient to be able to lock up your gear and travel with a truckload of gear in the rain. Plus, when the dogs come along they have a nice spot to sit. It's actually way more convenient than I thought it would be.
