Wet Sounds SYN4 pushing 4 Pro 60s?
 

So the amp that pushes my (4) Pro 60's just bit the dust. I had planned on upgrading this winter anyway so I am not all that sad about it. I have a guy who wants to sell me a SYN4 in great condition for about $375. Is this a good deal considering the new Sinister that just came out, and is this the right amp to push my 4 Pro 60s? I have done research and talked to some people about it but want some WW feedback and suggestions. Any other brands, styles, etc recommendations are greatly appreciated too. Thanks in advance!

it seems to be more than what you need. if you adjust the gain all the way down, it may work out, just watch over powering them,, bridged to on set is 400 watts, most people are using it to run one set of rev10's other than that it is a killer amp

The syn 4 will give each of the of the pro 60s 125watts, the pro 60s are rated at 150watts rms so they will be slightly underpowered by the syn 4. I honestly doubt you would notice much of a difference in volume between having 125 and 150 watts to the pro 60s.

If you never plan on upgrading the pro60s check out the arc audio ks300.2 it would give you 175 watts to each of your 60s and cost you just $25 more brand new.

If you think you might upgrade to pro 80's or rev8/10s someday you might wanna look into a 2-channel amp like the arc audio ks600.2, but you would have to be careful and keep the gains way down on the amp while you are running the pro 60s.

Considering the price, yes, that Syn-4 would be a good option for 2 pair of Pro-60. They will receive 125W rms each. For another $55, you can have an HT-2 that will drive them at 150W each.

Honestly the HT 2 would be the ideal choice... Proper RMS power and you get a WARRANTY with it.. The Syn 4 is great at that price but no warranty and not the ideal configuration for the full power of the amp.... Yes running 2ohm compared to 4 ohm may make the 2 ohm amp run a bit warmer but, I think you'll be fine ;)

Whats up man, you e-mailed me on craigslist about my wetsounds system. Syn4 will work just fine with pro60.

Or save some money and get a Polk D4000.4. Can score it new for $250 (or less), marine rated, same power output as the Syn4. HT-2 would probably be a better match overall.
