i'm the exact same size as you cept i am 6'2" and i bought a Cassette concave Horrell 41 and it suits me perfect..i am certainly loving it! i personally wouldn't go any bigger!
41 or 43. The larger one should work a little better if you want to do a lot of W2W stuff. If you're the shuv/flip trick kind of guy, go for the smaller size.
im new to wakeskating.. whats W2W ??
sorry, wake to wake
haha nvm... wake 2 wake ??
lol, im learning
6'1" and 150 lbs???? You dont need to buy a wakeskate, you need to use that $ to buy a few meals.
Sorry, just wish I still had high metabolism.
Catalyst 116, doesnt matter that your light your a big dude. Go with a big board...
dont buy a catalyst.. they suck IMO.
Catalyst is the way to go… It's light and super concaved unlike everything else. Hook up with a local shop and demo a few and pick what fits you.
Light isn't always the way to go...weight is good so it won't fly out from under you. And the foam sucks up the concave...

One of the major complaints I hear about hype decks is that they're too light (amongst other things).
What other things?
It seems to be popular to bash hyperlite all over these forums because they are the Starbucks of board makers, success makes enemies.
Generally you get what you pay for, if a board is cheap its likely a POS.

Rick I don't think she is bashing Hyperlite. Most people admit that they make great products but not everyone is going to like them. I didn't like the Catalyst (I think that's what it was) because I couldn't ride it well. It felt too light, I couldn't get it to pop as well as my Kampus and it didn't stay with my feet as well either. But you can't deny that it is a great board. The Hyperlite Pro's obviously seem to do well on it!

(Message edited by blabel on March 29, 2004)
