Clarke Lake, PA

Anyone on here ride Clarke Lake in PA? I might be relocating to the Harrisburg area, and i noticed that Clarke is not too far away.

Never been to Clarke. But we used to go to Blue Marsh lake a lot. In Reading, about an hour from Harrisburg. Its a smaller lake but usually pretty calm and good for riding. Gets real crowded over the holidays though.

I grew up in Harrisburg. You can ride incredible water on the Susquehanna River. There are public ramps in Goldsboro (on the West side of the river) and a private ramp in Middletown (on the East side of the river) at Tri County Marina. The marina charges $15 to launch, or you can become a member and launch all you want. Your first time out you'll want to be with someone who knows the water because there are some spots (mainly before and after the islands) that get real shallow real fast, and a few ill-marked channels, but it's not hard to figure out. I ride with my dad there about once every three weeks in the summer and would be happy to show you around.
