is it an autodraft or do we have to be present? no way i can make that draft time.

Thats ok ian, autodraft won me the sb last year!

You don't have to be present, I made that time in case there were people on the east coast so it wouldn't be too late, plus I know most of us will be going out for the holiday weekend.

If you aren't there the computer will auto draft for you.

Funny - Been betting football for years and years and always mocked Fantasy. So I figure there is no real consequence here, so I would give it a shot. Signed up a bit ago. Looking forward to figure out how it all works

It can be fun Jason, if you spend Sundays watching football like I do then it gives you more to root for then just a team. It doesn't matter which team wins or loses just whether your players do well or not.

Auto Draft and I are no longer on speaking terms.

Me too. 10th out of 12 people was not a stellar finish for me. Not sure why Yahoo felt the need to remind me of that.

haha yeah definitely hoping for an improvement over last year too... Though I think a lot of us had to auto draft last year, so that didn't help anything.

Could we set the draft date for during the week on an evening? Not on a sturday when we should be on the water...

Wednesday the 18th? Literally just opened my calendar and picked a date at random but with enough notice, could most of us make it? David is commish right?

Whatever date everyone agrees on is fine. You can post on the league message board and we can see what date everyone wants. Fyi the Yahoo sports app now allows you to draft from your phone. In case you can't be near a computer.

How many GD points did you get from Jamal Charles, and nick Foles in our matchup? Ridiculous! I didn't stand a chance in week 1 of playoffs. Go from #1 seed, to smoked by basically 2 effing players! Happened in both my leagues this year. GD fantasy football!
It wouldn't have been so bad, but The League has been sucking this year as well. They need to stick with football only plots, instead of trying to drum up other ideas.

Congrats Orion. Next year, I'll take my rightful place back on top though!

I put the draft back basically as far as possible, just avoid injuries and any real leagues the rest of us have. Tuesday evening sept. 2nd at 7pm central time. That work for everybody?

Well we're back for the 8th consecutive year. Sorry for the late send out, but I set the draft for Wednesday night before the first game. It's up to a 16-team league (we had 8 last year) and is on Yahoo under the name: Wakeworld or league id #: 1128382. There shouldn't be a password, but if you're having trouble signing up let me know and I can send an invite straight to you.

I was thinking of adding a 2 qb roster spot for this year, or would anyone be more interested in PPR? Also we could try out the auction draft though I don't know how auto-draft works then...

how do you get somebody off the bench. I was trying to get Matt Ryan to play over Kaepernick and I think I drop Kaepernick. This is pissing me off.

Go to roster view on bottom left, then look at player and press the "pencil" marker on the right which brings up a drop down menu of who you want to switch that player out for

Nobody has really said anything so I wasn't sure if it was even going to happen this year. But I'm thinking Tuesday or Wednesday evening?

Yeah free league, just one more thing to distract us from daily work grind...

As for rules we have always played standard rules, but I'm for something new if someone is passionate about PPR, IDP, etc.

I have set the draft for tomorrow night at 8:30 eastern, using the standard snake draft. Anybody want to try an "auction" draft, i'd be in to try it out, just don't know how it works for those that might have to auto-draft
