5% tints what do you think?

Much bigger fan of the Lunch Air 220 with a 10% tint :) Just kidding, looks great!

just got my vlx 5%

04-25-2012 6:17 PM

Damn...5%!???? Crazy

markj 04-25-2012 7:37 PM

Wow... I thought my 20% was maybe over done... You really can't even see through 5% most of the time throughout the day. Hopefully you guys have booster seats or you're one of those guys that buys a wakeboarding boat just to park it on the beach and crank the tunes. Who knows. Maybe you're 6'-10" and don't need a windshield.

grant_west 04-25-2012 8:03 PM

I think we need a side shot of the BAD MO FO!!!!!!!!!

wakecumberland 04-26-2012 6:01 AM

More pics please Patrick! That looks smooth. 5% is a little to dark for me but it sure looks good.

coonj13 04-26-2012 6:28 AM

Good Luck with that. i wouldn't be able to see a thing out of that, i'd have to drive it like ace ventura, but it does look good. somebody needs to invent something that turns really dark when you want it too then almost disappears when you want it to so you can see!

brett33 04-26-2012 6:41 AM

My windshield is limo'd and during the day I can see fine through it. As the sun starts to fade so does your visibility. I agree someone needs to make a tint like those "Transitions Lenses" on glasses. It gets dark in direct sun and lightens up the darker it gets outside.

FunkyBunch 04-26-2012 9:31 AM

Brett and anyone else looking for this. Transition Window Tint

Not sure about the quality but its an option that is there.

Tinted for the first time last year. We'll never go back.

grant_west 04-26-2012 10:10 AM

Jrod, "You will never go back" ???? to a clear window? or are you saying you will never run a tinted window?

bushtree 04-26-2012 10:24 AM

Never had a tinted windshield on a boat.. But I am intrigued. Is there any benefit besides looks good?

jarrod 04-26-2012 10:42 AM

Sorry that does seem pretty unclear now that I read it.

We'll always run tinted windows. It's more comfortable and just looks better I think.

jarrod 04-26-2012 10:44 AM

Nick, when you're on the water for those long days, it makes sitting in the boat a little more comfortable.

migs 04-26-2012 11:04 AM

Jrod - where you guys getting your tint done? Are they pulling the windshield off or tinting with it on?
My 210 needs a tint job STAT.

jarrod 04-26-2012 11:18 AM

Boat Country Escalon handles it. Not sure about the specifics

migs 04-26-2012 11:41 AM

Cooo-ill hollar at them. Thanks

Yeah, the boat looks good while rafting up but when your driving it at night, going slow is a must What ever, look good play good!
