CWB Faction size recommendation
 

Looking to go to the Faction. I'm 5'8" and 170lbs. Should I go with the 138 which I'm thinking or the 144 which seems large. No where to demo here. Thanks.

I was caught between sizes on that board too, and I thought the the 138 was very different than the 144 for me.

I'm 5-9 170. The 138 snapped hard. It was fast and smooth. But coming from a 142 Transcend, I didn't adapt well to the landings on the 138. I bumped up to the 144 and just couldn't ride it. Messed with my timing....I couldn't make it pop for me.

Thanks j-rod. I swap back and forth from a 138 Transcend Platty and a Shane 136 now so the landings wouldn't bother me that much. I'm guessing the 138 would suit me better then. Too bad they don't make a 142.

randy i had a 142 transcend then a 138 faction now i have a 140 marius. the transcend was slow but poped hard.can you say that without the CWB police getting you ? LOL. the faction was fast and popped good. the landings were hard. the marius is the best of all three fast pops the best and lands like a pillow. i'm 5'6" and weigh 170. i have been told numerous times i charge the wake but the marius is helping me to do more progressive edge to rid so much line tension. of the two boards you mentioned i would prefer the 138. hope this helps.

Is the DB9 the same mold as the Faction?

6'0 160 and the 138 suits me awesome. I've always ridden pretty big boards, but have gone the other way the last couple years with the 138 Transcend and now the 138 Faction. Such a fun board. Really fast and super poppy.

Thanks for all the input. Looks like I'm going to try and pick up the 138. Heading to Smith Mountain Lake in a few weeks. Maybe WakenSkate still does demos and has some in stock.
