35k

Your location. Different areas of the country have stronger boat markets.

BuckleNation 11-05-2012 5:10 AM

I live in Durham/Raleigh NC. Surrounded by many lakes!

chattwake 11-05-2012 5:36 AM

List it for $40k, IMO. There's just not a lot to choose from in the mid to high 30's these days in vdrive wakeboats.

I like the look of the boat, but yellow can be harder to sell than some other colors.

BrtnDan 11-05-2012 6:50 AM

I'd go a little higher. List for $45k. Depends on your situation.

Mjlee1985 11-05-2012 9:29 AM

I've seen this boat on the water on falls and it looks real good on the water..i would post picture of it on the water in your ad. That's the pro marine demo right??

boardjnky4 11-05-2012 10:16 AM

I'll give ya $20k and a handshake. lets do it!

williamburell 11-05-2012 10:17 AM

Thomas I'm in Raleigh and would be really interested in this boat if its not gone in the jan/feb timeline. Shoot me a price when you get one set

get_sum 11-05-2012 11:00 AM

Engine? I assume stock Indmar 335 hp? If so, I'd say right at $40k. Give or take 1-2k

boardjnky4 11-05-2012 11:38 AM

BTW, for anyone who is seeing this and wondering how good the wake is, I can assure you it is BIG and CLEAN. Even clean at slower speeds. Oh and no visible fat sacs. Flip the switches, wait, ride.

To the OP:

I put my '12 A22 up for sale a month ago and it hasn't moved yet. I sold my '11 vandall with the big motor, low hours, and big stereo in the mid 50's in March of this year. The market seems to really pick up around boatshow season (early spring). With axis, moomba and mb raising the bar for '13 with their "budget"-ish wakeboat lineups, I think resale will be good for boats like yours and mine in the Feb/March '13 timeframe.

When people see how much the entry level moombas, axis and mb's went up for next year, used boats seem to move more quickly.

simplej 11-05-2012 2:05 PM

i think you guys are all way high here. any informed boat shopper would note that the axis had a base MSRP of 39,999 in that year. lets say he has 9k in options or so (5k trailer, 2 k stereo, 1500 pnp 300 for batteries, roughly), this boat has 420 hours, yellow is gonna be a tough sell... also peel one of the extra set of graphics off. list to move at 39,999. list to sit at above 40. i would pass it by at anything above 40.... if im buying a boat for 45 k im getting this with less hours http://www.boattrader.com/listing/20...Star-Ss-345704

DatTexasBoy 11-05-2012 2:15 PM

I think 40 is a good price with the options you have on it. 45 would be pushing it for sure. I just sold my 2010 w/155 hrs on it less the tricked out trailer in june. I won't list what I sold mine for so as not to hijack your post, but trust me if you get 40 your doing good. I second Chatt in that it depends on your location and time of year. GOOD LUCK!!!

BrtnDan 11-06-2012 6:58 AM

I'd run, not walk from a saltwater boat.

Also, I agree with Chatt. I got a screaming deal on 2011 A22 a few months ago.

I am surprised you said pull the extra graphic off. That is what most other axis owners like about this boat.

BuckleNation 11-06-2012 8:18 AM

This is great info. I think I will list it for around $42k as I just put brand new wetsounds on it and I have additional set of stationary racks from axis to go underneath the swivel racks.

So am I on target here or still way off?

Seems like a fair starting price..

22vdrive 11-06-2012 9:36 AM

Why are you selling; are you getting a new boat?

boardman74 11-06-2012 10:43 AM

You can sell it for whatever someone will pay. Where I live they don't seem to be very popular. So the price will reflect that. I passed on a loaded 2012 demo with 10 hours for just barely over 50K. So based on that it seems high to me as that boat is still sitting for sale. All you can do is try, if you have no interest you can drop the price.

I was thinking about getting a 2013 axis or waiting till 2014 when they come out with the A24.

tdelong 11-06-2012 12:24 PM

Just wanted to compliment you on the look of the boat. I've never looked at buying an axis but it looks like you could get a very good price on it. I love the yellow btw. I'm defiantly a black and yellow boat kinda guy. Again just a nice looking boat

normally i would agree, but that boat is an SS series, its located a distance away from any salt water it seems and the sellers area code is arizona... so i doubt it has seen much salt. regardless the point was there's xstar's to be had for not much more out there which makes 45k an immediate turn off if im looking for a used boat, or stretch the extra 5k to get a 0 hour brand new one...

yes the 2 graphics are confusing, theyr'e 2 different styles, it took me a moment to notice them but from a buyers stand point, if i dont like it my immediate response is not going to be " i can pull one off" just " that boat looks busy"

you have to appeal to everyone, best of luck selling i hope you can get what you want for it.

11-06-2012 3:08 PM

Im looking for an axis in that price range but Im in social. and still need to get financial things worked out.

For some people (like me) Salt Series is a bonus and necessity. I run in Salt 99% of the time.

If I owned a Malibu I'd just take it to the scrap yard for salvage cash.
