I know, I couldn't help it.

My three year old is always telling me he needs to go boarding with Dad in the morning. I always tell him he has to learn how to put the board on if he wants to go riding. Last night while I was filling his pool in the back yard, he comes out back dragging my board, and tells me he's going to show me that he knows how to ride. I put the board on him and he loved it. He's informed me that he is going on the boat from now on, and that he is going first.

a little off balance

he's explaining to me "the right way"

I don't know who wants him to learn more, me or him.

Hey Clif, want some advice. When you son starts boarding, or whenever you decide to try and do the Parks thing and stand on the swim platform,, get some of those bindings that are not bindings.. The velco slip ins with the rubber straps the holds the heel in. That way when your son falls face first he can get out of the straps. These little kids can't upright themselves with the bindings and it scares the crap out of them if they are floating face down and can't turn over.

Cliff,
That’s awesome! It’s great to see children happy. Attached are a few pictures of my 2-1/2 year old (son) getting a feel for it. The following pictures are a great learning sequence that with Ryan “Gilligan” McDaniel teaching Paul “Andre” Smith’s daughter, Lexie. He pulled them around on the shoreline which seemed to instill confidence in them.

Thanks for sharing the pics.

I think I missed my calling as a plumber! Thanks to genetics, I have no ass to hold my shorts up.

LMAO, I knew Paul wouldn't let that slide.

"No Ass" it's from all that butt checking 20' into the flats.

Little kids are so funny, when my parents asked our 6 year old daughter if she was going out in daddy's boat, she responded that no the boat isn't daddy's, but it's her's too.

I am going to get her up next week with me for the first time. She is stoked to try it out. Great pictures all!

Cliff… I say you bring DJ out on Saturday. Looks like he is ready! It’s not off balance… it’s off axis. Get that boy a handle tied to the deck so he can work on his handle passes.

I can’t wait to get Taylor out in the water at Shasta. She too has informed me that it’s “her boat.”
I've taught several little kids to ride,1st let them ride with you, 2nd do as above, bank starts, and the hardest part for kids that are really little is flipping the board back over after a fall.....it takes a lot of patience to have to get in everytime and put their boots back on and flip them in the right direction
