2012 Mastercraft X30
 

Took out the new 2012 X30 Monday. Very impressed. Lots of room/storage, love the new reversible seat, the side locker fits at least 2 full size surfers easy, the bow is big, nice center walk-over. But....the best part is the wake! This boat is a surfer's dream! Super clean on both sides as you'll see below, we had 5 guys in the boat and about 400lbs of extra weight in the rear corner. I can't wait to really load this boat up and take some time to dial it in.
Wakeboard wake looked good but we didn't have time to ride, similar to the X15 from the looks of it.

How did it drive, turn, handle etc. compared to the X-25. A boat I know you like....

compared to the X25 it was just as nimble, X25 feels a little heavier in the water and takes the rough water better. The X30 MUST have a center trim plate for not only surfing but it really helps with the rough water ride.
I'd still get a X25 because I like to wakeboard more than surf, but this new X30 is going to be a great boat. I'm going to take it back out and really put some weight in it, more to come...

Hey Darren, is there any way you have to take pics of the wakeboard wake a different speeds with some weight? We will be mostly wakeboarding with our's and I am looking forward to seeing the wake. I can't wait to get my X-30 and your pics don't make it any easier to wait! The next 2 months are going to draggggggg. Thanks for the pics of the surf wave.
