Anybody made a Flag pole

Any body made a cheap flag pole?

I'm thinking I just buy a PVC pipe that will slide over my rear pylon. But I'm not sure how to secure it. I think I read on here somewhere you could put hose clamp round it and if it was a tight fit. It would squeeze the PVC pipe enough to hold it on.

Red

That's what I want to do next weekend.

I think I could cut some notches in the PVC pipe on one side to let the zip ties tighten around my rear Pylon.

I didn't notch any thug just 2 big zip ties on 1" PVC 15" apart. Oh on one of the location I x 2 zip ties at a crossmember. Held up. Great

2 years ago I went big on the flag similar to the pics above but last year just went out and got a few cheap smaller flags from the dollar store and zip ties em to the tower. Worked and looked great all day! #MURICA!

I used the bombwake wakeflag holders, at this point I have 2 which is a bit much at $65 a pop but they are really high quality and you gotta rep' your country...

For the flag pole I used a chimney sweep extension, they sell them at lowes. A small amount of electrical tape helps keep them in the holders tight but I wouldn't hesitate to use them without.

The extensions are nice and flexy, and if you use a pretty thin material flag (i.e. cheap) they are good up to 35 mph.

The fittings on the chimney sweep extensions are NPT so you have to get creative, but zipties and a small fitting does the trick.

I ordered a flush mount flag holder and teak flag pole and sewn flag to get this classy look. It's obviously removable for when I pull riders but when cruising to and from the riding spots, or when just cruising, it's flying per the us flag code.

Just Duct tape it mang, itll all be gravy..... dont overcomplicate it. Zip tie it. or hose clamp it. or find a chick to hold it. or you hold it.

I bought 2 $10 flag poles at Wal-mart and 4 hose clamps. E-bay has all kinds of flags for $5-10 too. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...20517816_o.jpg
