Removing stock vtx sub box
 

I just finished building a new box for my boat but I cant for the life of me figure out how to get the old box out of there. Boat is an 07 vtx with the stock malibu 10in RF sub.

There are screws that go into the floor from the front of the kick panel. You'll have to dig around in the carpet with a screwdriver and find them. There are also a few that run along the walkthrough wall facing forwards. There are no exact locations as they just drive em home from the factory where they are needed.

There are some constants with finding the screws. You will find 3 screws along the bottom edge angled down towards the floor. There will be 1 other screw at the edge of the lip that runs along side the drivers cup holder, that screw is about 3 inches long and is at times very hard to get out. Take your time, don't get frustrated, if you do, walk away and come back to it once you have cooled down.

3 screws on the bottom, feel with your fingers until you come to a dimple in the board, take a drill and stick it in the whole, you should hear the difference between the dril running on plastic board vs. running on top of a screw. Once you find the screw take it easy on backing it out because they do strip out easy.
