I've got my boat up for sale in the boat trader and my wife gets a call from itrustmotors at this website- http://www.itmotors.com/ They say they will actively work until our boat is sold at the asking price. The price for their service is $189. Has anybody used these people before, and how was their service?

Thanks!!

The boat for sale is located here- http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/4/2/90142542.htm

......have never used them.....but I believe with the internet today most people are savvy enough to find your boat if they really want it. Save the 189 dollars.....in addition most boats never go for asking...say you let it go for 8500 now your 700 less.

why spend 189 when you can list on OnlyInboards.com for only 19.95

craigslist is free -- however this is the time of year to buy, not to sell...

Save your money and Craigslist it. I sold my boat in 15 minutes using Craigslist.

I second Craigslist. It has always worked for me as long as the price is right

Steve,

That's excellent. I put it up twice earlier in the year, but got no calls.

Tickle,

I know I'm fighting up uphill battle, but just trying to get her sold.

Ian - I thought your site was free now!!

Why would a car sales place be confident of selling a boat? If you want you can send me $179 and I'll 'actively work' until your boat is sold. Not necessarily on selling your boat, but I'll work nonetheless.

Don't do it, they sound the same as all those people that call you up when you're selling a car.

Price it right and it will sell thru Craig's List

(Message edited by gobigorgohome on October 26, 2007)

Thomas, it's free for standard listings but there is a paid option too

Hey Dave,
Try taking some more pictures. Show the interior, trailer and stuff, closeup shots. I know when I was searching it was those types of adverts that got my attention.

Just a thought,
Jman

PS: Like the others said, forget about that offer to help you sell your boat.

wakereviews 10-27-2007 8:05 AM

The ads that get the most leads on my site

1. have lots of pics
2. have an agressive price
3. have a very good description

the description is where you should "sell" your boat. Describe all the great things about the boat, throw in a wakeboard or something else. Think of your ad as a sales letter and your product is the boat. It seems most people don't put much thought into what they write in the description.

I had a good description, but boat trader only allows one pic in the magazine. I'll definitely be checking out this onlyinboards.com site though. Sounds like a good thing for $19.95.

Thanks all for the input.

I would add more pictures to boattraderonline and get it on every web site you can. This web site has classifieds

Have you checked the Nada Value of your boat that is the first thing many people do when buying a boat
