I have a 2005 Mobius XLV and in the book it say under the yearly maintenance chart to clean the transmission oil strainer screen.

Any Ideas where the heck would I look for that?
-Marty

If you follow the hose from your impellar (water pump), you should find it. On a Malibu it is not far from the pump, not sure if it is similar on the Mobius. You are looking for a metal cylinder that is slightly larger on one side than the other, should be a hose going in and coming out. I take mine off and clean it every couple of weeks to remove weeds, takes 30 seconds.

(Message edited by liveoz on March 13, 2008)

Is he talking about the transmission cooler as pictured above or the strainer for the transmission fluid?

My bad, that may NOT be the oil strainer screen you were looking for. I was referring to the screen in the oil cooler element. The transmission Oil filter and screen would be on your transmission itself. That would not be a 30 second job unfortunately.

(Message edited by liveoz on March 13, 2008)

I'm wondering if that's what they are referring too?

Here's what I'm looking at in the manual.

-Marty
