So This is my first year wakeboarding and I've noticed its a little different than any other board sport I usually do. For me the progression of tricks is always in spins, 180, 3,5, to 1080. But obviously, that isn't the case with wakeboarding. I can w2w with my eyes closed (I know nothing to brag about) and I feel really comfortable taking 180's out into the flats but now i just don't know where to go? Do i go to 3? do i go to tantrum/backroll, do i go to switch stuff? Do I go to toeside stuff?

I just wanna know what the standard progression of wakeboard tricks is. I'm open to learning anything so throw it at me!

thanks guys.

That's the great thing about wakeboarding. For the most part you can work on whatever you want! Most people are going to tell you to starting working on your toeside and switch riding. Those are going to help you out a lot in the long run.

If you want to mix in some backroll, tantrum, and HS 3 attempts along the way then I would say that is fine. Just don't focus 100% of your energy learning heelside tricks while neglecting your TS and switch riding.

Yep, I've seen a guy do 3 inverts but tried and tried to land a bunny hop 180 and could not.

Agreed - Coming from a HS hero...work your TS and switch riding now, you'll be thankful later
