Hey can someone help find me a link or two about painting a boat, gelcoats, etc. <BR> <BR>I have a green stripe about 4" wide above the water line on my boat and I want to add a red strip, where the green one is. I heard that if it is above the water you can just paint it, or can I add a decal that goes all the way around? <BR> <BR>Any ideas are welcome. <BR> <BR>Thanks alot for the help.

well I did a search and found some people have had success(sp) with Imron OR Awlgrip, the boat is a 2000 yr model, so its not too old. <BR> <BR>Is it possible to tape off the green strip, spray a few coats of Imron, or Awlgrip in red, and have happy sailing, im looking for about three solid years out of this paint job, not a lifetime. <BR> <BR>My main reason for doing this is because my truck is red, so i want by boat to have a red stipe and a red tower, and some red sony's hangin from the tower. <BR> <BR>Thanks for any help/input
