Post your ghetto boats you've owned

I've realized I've been on here 11 years now and found some old pics. This was my first boat that I purchased on my own. My family had a brand new 89 Nautique 2001 and then a new 92 Ski Brendalla when I was a teenager into waterskiing but they don't count. When I went away to college my parents sold the boat and I didn't get a pull for quite a while.

These pics are from 2000 or so. It was 1976 17' Glaston with a 115 hp Merc. I bought it for $2,000, it had no reverse for the two seasons I owned it, I was towed in countless times, I made a pole from an old street sign on the side of the road but we had a blast!

Check out the sweet wake and water ski rope.

This is an 86' I/O thundercraft. For some reason I thought it needed a tower and I wanted tunes so I wired an amp and cd player into the lil bitty glovebox and built the fiberglass box for the 4 6x9s. They were louder than my pro 60s and km650 that I have on my Tigè. Hate to say it but did all that last winter and sold the boat at the beginning of this summer and upgraded! Talk about a ****ty wakeboard wake lol

I just LOL'd at the name "Making Panties Wet", pretty awesome.

My second ghetto boat was the 1987 Dixie Skier direct drive. I had a homemade tower and Frankenstein ballast system, I owned it for 8 years or so but didn't use it much towards the end because I was always on other people's boats. Ryan I have a pic of you doing a backroll behind it, I need to scan it, ha.

Just realized I should have posted this in the boat forum.

This is my first boat. I loved it for all of one year before I jumped up. I remember having people piled all over this thing.

1989 Sea Ray 160. 3.0L Mercrusier. First boat; bought in 2000, sold last summer 4 days after buying our Malibu. Our '01 Sunsetter VLX is better in every way possible, expect it drinks a bit more fuel. Bought the Sea Ray in 2000 for $4800; sold her last year for $4000. In between there I have to put a brand new crate motor in her (about $2200 with everything to convert to current style 3.0L) and some other maintenance items, but was a very cost effective boat overall.
