Well while loading boat last night I had the trailer slightly too deep and the wind was strong enough that when I went to power up into the boat buddy system I hit the port side bunk ruining my prop<IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/sad.gif" ALT=":-(" BORDER=0> So the question is what is a good replacement or upgrade? I typically wakeboard, and rarely ski, so top end speed is not a big loss. The stock prop was a 14"x20"LH. Is going to stainless worth it? Should I take the boat to my dealer and have it repaired or just order the parts from them and replace it myself? I am more worried that there could be damage to the drive shaft or the fins. The prop blades were only bent back about a 1/2". Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

your shaft is proabbly ok, my exp is hittign something that slow usually doesn't do much besides a little bend in the prop. I'm much happier running a stainless on mine, I used to bend my Nibral 2-3 times a season, hitting twigs, floaters, ect. I still argue tha if you hit somehting hard enough to damage yoru shaft/strut...it wont; matter what kind of prop you have. I just have had bad luck with the smallest objects dinging my nibrals.

Wow, exact same thing happened to me last night. I ordered a new Acme 543 this morning, and I am sending the old one in for repair.
