California has a good cliamte.... and they tax the s_it out of everything. not to mention you get to live in a shoebox for $250k in any populated area and can commute 2 hours to your job..each way. Where do I sign up, lol.

$250k!!! Where can I sign up for that deal. The median house in my county is around $650k. Something to look forward to for this soon to be first time home buyer. I'll probably spend a shade under $300k and live in a mobile home.

650K Who in the hell can afford that? If you can put 20% down that leaves you with a mortgage of about 520 grand. At say 6% over 30 years you are at what? around 3000 per month or more and then thro in taxes and insurance....Geeez whats the world comming to? Can these prices keep going up? I seriously doubt it.

I was recently forced to give up my career, and looked to move to other states to restart. There is really a lot to dislike here. BUT, when it comes down do it, there is MANY reasons why real estate costs so much, and so many people live here. I checked for greener pastures, but found none. <BR> <BR>Yeah, it really sucks living on the Delta......

Cali is a very bad place to live!! From my front door, Delta- 10 min, Snowboarding- about 90min, Surf- 60 to 70 min, MX- 15 min, hot girls- every where I look!!!!!! I think I will deal with it and stay here!!!
