Depends on who you talk to... I was a gymnast so the tantrum was easier for me to get up the courage to try, since it's more like a straight backflip. But most people will tell you a backroll is easier. I would probably stick with the backroll. Good luck!

try the tantrum i did one first try when i was learning, back roll is a little easier if you know how to do gainers, although i did learn the backroll first because i could do rodeos on a snowboard, snowboarding totally helps too

Backroll

back roll
-don't throw it to early...make sure you wait till you've launched off the wake before you start to roll.

-really concentrate on keeping the handle close to your front hip...that was a major thing that helped me when i was learning them.

good luck!

backrolls and tantrums are both easy and quick to learn.

practice on the trampoline first though and try to get a feel for the flip and SPOTTING YOUR LANDING haha

TANTRAUM by far

wakechick4life 06-22-2007 3:23 PM

thats what i would personally think because i feel more comfortable flipping backwards then sideways because i am also a gymnast.

Backrolls- you just keep on going like your natural progression up the wake.

Tantrum- imo harder. You have to remember to wait. I have a broken foot right now from not waiting.

hey vanessa i thin we tried to get in contact via msn before, but im always away from that. the pictures look good. u comoin to cali any time soon?

Which ever one you can picture in your head is the one to try. If you can't imagine it in your head, it will be harder to land it.
