Cell Phone Interference Through Subwoofer

I have an issue where I get cell phone interference through the subwoofer on my boat. I don't get it though any of the other speakers (tower or in boat), just the sub. When a cell phone is searching for service static comes through the sub. If I turn all the cell phones in the boat off or on airplane mode I don't hear it. The sub is powered by an individual amp. I know very little about stereo systems, but all of the cables running to the sub and the amp that powers it seem to be in order...as far as I can tell. Any sugguestions before I take it somewhere?

Is your phone AT&T? GSM technology phones will interfere. See if you are getting the same interference with a Verizion CDMA phone.
