Zane and I went out Wednesday. Although it looked cloudy and dreary, it was actually 82 air and about 65 water. Hey Byrd, since you ride with Zane, do you know if Laura Lohrmann is back in town? My cell got fried over the summer and I lost her number.

Does Zane ride a foam core Absolute? Or is it a Platinum with Foam graphics? I would love that, the foamy graphics look sick with the Deuce, not that I'm vane or anything... If you know, please share, lucky bastard.

Laura lives up north but comes down here for a while in the winter to train with Zane and co. Zane rides foam core, not Plat. When I asked him why, he told me that he likes the flex of the foam better. Which makes sense, at his skill level, IMO, he has no problem getting up there and the flex on the landing makes it a little softer. Me, on the other hand, I need all the pop I can get, so I ride a Plat. BTW, I also think the foam graphics look a lot better than the Plat... <BR> <BR>Stephan, the last time I posted pics riding with Zane, I think you asked about the new 07' Zeus boots and I never got back to you. The last time I rode his board, he had been using the 07 prototypes with the new lace system, and although the boots were well broken in, the cinch system was working perfectly. If you ever get to central FL, let me know and we'll go riding....

billy - are those tires everyone is parked on? can you please explain to me whats going on in that pic?

It used to be a junkyard and after the hurricanes it all flooded. The County filtered out all the toxins in the water and dead rats and oil drums its now a great place to park. <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/crazy.gif" border=0> <BR>Actually matt Cypress Gardens put those out years ago to act as a breakwater to keep the Show Circle calm. It also acts as a great place to park and watch the ski show, swim etc.

Byrd - is "Zane" Zane Schwenk (sp?)? if so, i think he's one of the boarders that dave briscoe and i phoned up after some post-lesson partying this summer! bet he loved it, cuz it had to be like 1 or 2 a.m. florida time. we phoned someone back east too; i don't remember who it was though.

I havent seen her yet, last year she didnt get here til late Feb. I just tried to call her but got her answer machine.

That is awesome! Thanks! I have to show my wife that, she will get a kick out of it. My son and I are always goofing around and I think she feels I am ruining a good young mind...I am trying to convince her that I am broadening his perspectives. No one likes a boring person.
