I remember a couple guys from WW were going to be on Trinity this July. I am going to be there from the 12th to the 18th. Who else will be riding?

regalado1 06-28-2007 6:12 AM

I'll be up there with a group from the 14th - 21st. 3 boats I think. Maybe 20 people. I can't wait.

dmontandon 06-28-2007 6:43 AM

Just curious, how is Trinity vs Shasta?

mendo247 06-28-2007 7:38 AM

trinity = mini shasta

my favorite lake in norcal..

were headed up tomorrow, there is gonna be quite a few ww's up there this week..

spencerwakeside 06-28-2007 9:12 AM

Let me know how the water is.

I really like trinity. It is not as large as Shasta but the water is usually nicer well into the afternoon. I am excited to get down there.

regalado1 06-28-2007 9:57 AM

Hey Spencer, where are you guys going to be staying? We'll be at the Wyntoon Resort cottages. I think we have #15 - #20. All the down on the end. Just look for the rowdy bunch.

john 06-28-2007 10:17 AM

Post back after your trip. I'm curious to hear how the lower water level will affect my annual August trip with the family. Current water level is 30 feet below last year. (2360 ft. on 06/27/06 vs 2331 ft. yesterday)

mendo247 06-28-2007 10:27 AM

Ant your at the wrong end bro! Do you got to the south end at all?

greatdane 06-28-2007 10:31 AM

Amazing. I had never heard of Trinity. It looks really nice.

ttrigo 06-28-2007 10:33 AM

Trinity is great. totally a mini shasta. a bit cooler water, but a beautiful lake. can't wait to get back up there some day.

dmontandon 06-28-2007 11:01 AM

mendo247 06-28-2007 11:09 AM

I have been going to trinity for over 20 yrs. We have always stayed at Wyntoon Lake. I love the lake. Yes it is similar to Shasta but with the distance from any major city it is defiantly rural area. Take what you need before you leave home. The drive up their is kind of a climb but it keeps most folks from going way up there. I usually go for at least a week every year. My parents go for at least 7 weeks a year.
Man do I miss the days of old, when dads Gas card was in the glove box, the boat was at the dock and I had 3 weeks of dads $ to burn.
The lake tends to get windy in the mid afternoon, but is usually calm by 6 so the evening rides are awesome. Also with the elevation you need to get a sweater and sweatpants for the evening. That’s were the difference from Shasta is, it could be 80 at 11pm in Shasta.

i'll be at trinity for the 7th to the 14th. i can't wait to for it.

wakejunky 06-29-2007 9:06 AM

I'll be there with a pretty good size group from 7/7 to 7/15. We'll be at Hayward Flat. We do lots of fun things for the kids as well as adults. Ice Cream Socials, theme nights (Fiesta, Luau) Sunday night we usually go to Cedar Stock for their BBQ and Band.

Look for a couple of blue/Grey SANs.

Chris
Get the Grip you Deserve
www.wakejunky.com

spencerwakeside 06-29-2007 12:45 PM

I will be at Wyntoon. Camp site # 120. I am bringing the Wakeside Wakesetter VLX. We will also have an Air Nautique 216. We will have to get together for a surf session. I am pissed that we are missing BINGO this year. That is always the highlight of my week. Have you guys jumped off the cliffs to the right of the boat slips. That was our afternoon routine last year but I am afraid the water might be lower this year.

mendo247 06-29-2007 1:30 PM

The locals (mostly lurkers here on ww) are probally banging their heads on the table listening to everyone talk trinity up on this thread!

Cory, where you at?

jules 07-09-2007 8:05 PM

Coop, when are you coming to stay with us? I'm sure that it'll be blown out, too crowded and the beer will be warm, but... Oh nevermind. Let's go to Ruth. It's way better.

mendo247 07-09-2007 10:01 PM

Here are some pics from the 4th week houseboat trip to Trinity

humboldtboarder 07-10-2007 12:04 AM

And here is why you don't invite Coop out on your boat:

First he'll try to steal your boat

Then he'll try to steal your wife!

humboldtboarder 07-10-2007 12:11 AM

Good thing Coop gave Cory that WW coozie to keep him from getting pissed!

flip360 07-10-2007 9:41 AM

Nick thanks for trying to keep Coop in line he did look good in that drivers seat.

jules 07-10-2007 12:40 PM

Nice, Honey. More worried about your boat getting stolen than your wife?! Lucky for you, I'm a Nautique girl...

mendo247 07-10-2007 3:06 PM

Nice pics Nick! The week is slowly starting to come back to me...

That 3 is big cory! Julie needs to scrap those 1970's broken strap hyperlite bindings and get an updated pair!

jules 07-10-2007 3:57 PM

Lucky for me Cory had replacement parts, Coop. Now, instead of silver my bindings are bright orange. On the upside, all of the straps and velcro are in tact now!
