CWB Tsunami

I have a 1984 ski nautique 2001 and this week I tried surfing behing it with a hyperlite broadcast 5'6". It worked very well and I was able to surf behind it. Now I am looking at getting a board and I like the CWB Tsunami. I think I would out grow the broadcast to fast. Has anyone used this board, am I still going to be able to surf with it since its a smaller board and my wake isnt as big as some others?

How much do you weigh and how much ballast do you have in the boat?

I weight 165 6'1" and we run around 1300 pounds with all the ballast and about 3 people in the boat.

Yeah, the Tsunami will work for you. I used to ride that board. It's a bit on the slow side, though. I would definitely recommend the Inland Surfer Squirt, if you're in that price range. Otherwise the IS Black Pearl is far superior, but a lot more expensive.

Alright thanks for the information!

I have both a Tsunami and a Black Pearl Yellow.

Sure the Black Pearl is faster but for the price the Tsunami can't be beat. They ride pretty close, close enough that if somebody else is riding the Tsunami I won't bother changing boards when its my turn. I can spin the Tsunami nearly as easy as the Black Pearl. The Black Pearl looks much nicer...

I just picked up a Broadcast 5'6" for beginners and tandem riding. If you want my Tsunami and you are in norcal shoot me a PM: mikeskiw@gmail.com I'd rather not go through the hassle of shipping.
