Practice practice practive. The beauty of digital is that you can delete everything that looks like mung. I'll let Nikon guys specify settings for you, cause there are a lot of 'pros' on here who really know their stuff. Actually, do a quick search for Garrett Cortese (sp?) article on wakeboarding photography.

Jeff,
I'd be happy to show you as much as I can if you want to hook up some time.

This will get you started. http://www.wakeboarder.com/display.phtml?id=553

hillbilly 05-08-2009 9:29 PM

That is a good article..Now I need to read the manual for the camera so I can set it right lol.
If I have it on "auto" will it do it for me? That is the setting that uses the brain of the camera right?

Man I hate reading...

^^^ Well played Jeff. I'm going to Villa Lagos in a couple of weeks, I don't know a lot about Nikon so bring your manual.

hillbilly 05-09-2009 5:59 PM

Yeah I will. Are you going for the 1st INT event? I saw Alex quickly at Spankey Beaver but I just showed up and dropped some $ off to someone and rolled out in less than 10 minutes.

wakedad33 05-09-2009 7:28 PM

There is a wealth of knowledge at kenrockwell.com. I have used his "Owners manual for the average joe" lots of times to learn how to use my Nikon D40. He isn't just a Nikon guy though. He does articles about lots of camera makers and lenses. He is a sharp guy that takes awesome photos.
