Thanks! Yes it is a Quadcopter. The body is a QAV500 and video is from a GoPro3 Black edition.

Hey Kurt,

are you using any kind of a gimble?

machloosy 06-28-2013 9:43 AM

Real nice dude. I like!

shawndoggy 06-28-2013 9:48 AM

that is WAY cool. What happens if the copter crashes in the water?

Midnightv10 06-28-2013 11:21 AM

^^^ Yeah that seems like it would not be good at all..

I was thinking about getting one of those DJI Phantoms as a starter into a new and looks like expensive hobby (like I need another one of those)

any input on that model???

I did not use any gimble or post video stabilization. The body is called a QAV500 which is a unique frame in that it minimize the vibrations to the camera filming.

It would not be a good day! :) saying that I have ordered 2 floats that I will attach that will let me recover copter. I'm not going to lie I was pretty nervous flying it over water and landing on the back of my boat but it turned out to be so much fun that definitely more filming is in my future.

Nice vid.

I would caution you if you are calibrating the quad on the boat, especially, on the rear deck as the engine might cause interference. People have been known to have flyaways because of that.

wakeboarding + Phantom is a great combination!

Because my friends run a CableWakePark - I focused on that, but boat looks really good!

nice job!
