I went from a 14 x 18 to a 13.5 x 16 acme and its great. I have a 325 hp monsoon and about 2200 lbs of water weight plus a wedge. The boat has plenty of hole shot. I don't think I would drop down that low to a 11.5, but I don't know the whole story. The 11.5 means it suppose to travel 11.5 inches per one turn.

Of course we are all assuming you have a V drive or DD

This totaly depends on the engine the hull and how the boat will be used.

Engine HP
Trany 1 to 1 or gear reduction
Boat brand and model
Do you need top end
will you be using a lot of weight
etc

Call Acme http://www.acmemarine.com/index.html

(Message edited by krbaugh on May 18, 2005)

You want to get out of the HOLE better.

Karl from Boarditup......Where are you?

He just sold me an ACME prop made for my specific boat. Check this: http://www.acmemarine.com/html/list.html
